chapter 21

Hyunjin's pov:

Yuri held the microphone in her hands as we made our way to the next game. "Alright, contestants! We've got a voting system now. Fans will vote for their favorite couples at the end of every two rounds! Yes, we'll have two rounds every day for this week!" she said, her face decorated with a huge smile as she made eye contact with a few couples.

"Yesterday it was hasty but now, we're going all out! these are not just small challenges but group challenges too! we'll do a mini-game first. if you win the mini-game you'll get one life. meaning if u lose you can revive again or keep the life for other days and challenges"

I saw Felix's excited face from the corner of my eye and  I couldn't help but smile. 

I nudged him slightly and he looked at me annoyed.

"you seem pretty excited" I commented, ensuring he knew I was exaggerating.

"I don't care what you say. this sounds fun" he shot back, an annoyed look on his face that I called him out.

I chuckled at his 'threatening' action and smiled.

he facepalmed before turning around to see what she had to say.

"so, everyone, stand next to each other in a line. I'll tell you what the mini-game is in a minute"

we made our way and stood next to each other as a tissue was passed to us, our curiosity growing every second.

"Okay, guys! a partner will put a tissue in their lip and the other partner has to rip it off. The couples with the smallest piece get it. no making out!"

everyone's laughter was heard but me and him were a bit challenged by it.

starting from Haemin to Jinwon to Minseon, everyone was doing great. 

now came our turn.

he nodded as for me to start.

I leaned in, our lips brushing past each other as I ripped off the tissue. the tissue wasn't visible. felix gently took it out, barely a slither.

my face started heating up but I couldn't see his reaction as he left to get a water bottle.

The game ended with RaOn, JiYul, and ChanRin taking their turn.

Yuri clapped her hands and announced the winner.

"the winner is HyunLix again but RaOn was also super close,"

she announced for everyone's attention.

"The next game is Pictionary! Every couple will have their turn to go to the front and reenact one of their most special meetings or dates! The others will guess it. They will write their answer without showing it, and on the count of 3, everyone will reveal what they think it is. The couple who makes most people guess the correct answer wins!" 

claps were heard through the big space and everyone including us, were seated at the pavilion.

"The first couple to go is HyunLix" she announced and we made our way to the front.

we decided to reenact the modeling that Lix had me do.

we walked together to a small space and he acted as if he had the camera and started shooting pictures.

I started modeling and some screams were heard, mainly for support.

In the end, everyone revealed their answers.

a while later...

"So, the winner of this round is Jiyul! They are the first couple to beat HyunLix! The second up is ChanRin!! After all this laughter, you might need a little rest. Go and enjoy your time with others and mingle!!"
