The sound of the waves enveloped my sense of hearing, it was calm... then it went wild. So relaxing.
I stopped playing my harp and looked at the ocean. My fingers were still on the string but my eyes were on the water.
Who knows what lies underneath. The seafloor? Creatures of the ocean?
Or maybe underneath the ocean's solemn melodies are memories... water holds
memories and seeing how vast the ocean is just keeps me thinking that it is everyone's memories combined. If I dive deep into it, will I drown?
Will I forget?
Will I remember?
Water holds memories... I placed my harp on the sand and slowly moved my feet to help myself to stand up.
When I reached the waters, I crouched down and let my fingers touch the cold sea water.
I felt everything... from the coldness of the ocean... to the coldness of one's memories.
The water started moving again, not to meet the shore, not to leave it, but to come to me.
I watched as the water got sucked by my hand. When I released it, it went straight to the sea and pushed all the waters back.
Water holds memories, so if I try to suck all the water out, will I be able to hold all the memories it has?
I sighed and sat down letting my dress get soaked with the water. "Fucking life," I muttered under my breath.
I listened to the melodies of the waves again, letting it enchant my whole mind.
Its sound is more beautiful than the melodies I create with my own instruments.
"Kambal, uwi na tayo!" I looked back to my twin who looked like a dork... as always.
Right, home... we need to come home.
"Alright," I stood up and went to him.
I looked back to the ocean again and remembered... if I command all the waters to come to me, will I be able to search for his memories?
Why is there a part of him that he couldn't remember? The part when I was in it?
