Poem 70 : Breaking Point

13 5 1

How long can you run?
How hard can you try?
How far can you stretch?
How good are your lies?

Limits are reached,
Goals are achieved,
Fears are conquered,
Buildings relieved.

Once tried, then failed,
Twice again, once more—
Patience fades,
Burned at the core.

Breathing breathlessness,
The head grows heavy,
Weighing down the body
As life grows unsteady.

Many roofs have points
Marking the top of a house—
Sharp and unstable,
Like life's tipping doubts.

Climb if you dare;
The only way is up.
But don't fall off,
Or you'll lose your luck.
