"Hoshi, where the hell are you?"
"Wonwoo I'm sorry I literally walked into the wrong building. I'll be there in 10 minutes."
"Are you an idiot? Are your eyes merely there for decoration? How the hell do you walk in the wrong freaking building??"
"I get it, I get it, just chill there for a sec. I'll be with you soon."
The line disconnects. Hearing the familiar end call sound on the phone made him clench his jaw as he realized yet again, how big of an idiot his friend is. Wonwoo runs a hand through his hair and looks around the room he was in. He was currently behind the main stage, filled with countless staff and backup dancers shuffling around, busy getting to where they were supposed to be. Hoshi being one of them today.
"Dammit, where the hell am I even supposed to go?" Wonwoo ponders and starts making his way out of the busy large hall and into this small corridor just right outside the door. He mindlessly follows the carpeted floor until he reaches a restroom and goes in.
Wonwoo was relieved to see the restroom empty. He goes straight to wash his hands and continues to grumble over his friend when....
"Excuse me umm. Did you happen to see anyone outside?"
Wonwoo freezes in place. Water, still running over his hands as he recounts how the restroom looked like when he came in. "I was sure I saw no one though? Shit is it a ghost?"
The stranger then clears his throat. Wonwoo then hesitantly drags his eyes away from his hands and looks at the mirror in front of him to see a reflection of a man peeking out of one of the cubicles. He was now even more scared thinking he was about to get mugged by such a huge man. He knew for sure he wouldn't stand a chance against the muscled giant.
Nonetheless, he answers his question as calmly as he could. "No. I didn't see anyone when I went in."
He turns off the faucet and faces the stranger, still oddly hiding behind the cubicle door. His voice, strangely familiar to Wonwoo.
"Ahh I see thanks." The man then walks out of the cubicle and washes his hands right next to Wonwoo. He was wearing a thick black hoodie with the hood pulled down just enough for the tip of his nose and lips to peek out.
Wonwoo manages to regain his composure and decides to leave when the stranger speaks yet again.
"Um.."
Wonwoo looks back. His hand, hovering over the doorknob. Possibly a bit shaky, as the thought of being murdered in a concert hall restroom, still hasn't left his mind. He blames this paranoia of his from all the true crime documentaries he's been watching.
"Sorry I kept bothering you but would you mind switching hoodies with me for a moment?"
Wonwoo, dumbfounded to say the least. He merely just glared back at the stranger, wishing he'd take the hint that he just wants to get out of here.
The stranger starts fidgeting under Wonwoo's judging eyes. A bit frantic, as he tried to explain his current predicament. "I swear I'm not a weird person. I have my reasons." he finally pulls back the hood of his jacket and gives Wonwoo a timid smile.
"Huh no wonder you sounded familiar." Wonwoo finally relaxed at the sight of the stranger's face he was talking to this whole time.
"You know me?"
"I'd have to be living under a rock for me not to know you, sir? Kim? Mister Mingyu? I'm sorry, this is my first time meeting a celebrity. I'm not quite sure how to call you."
Mingyu laughs at Wonwoo's reaction. It's been awhile since he met someone new who acted normal around him. He eyes Wonwoo up and down and took note how tall and built he was. "Please, just call me Mingyu." he flashes Wonwoo a more sincere smile which just earned him a nod from the latter.
