"Whose genius plan was this, anyway, to play this game?"

Wonwoo says as he tries to pry off Hoshi's arm that's stubbornly wrapped around him.

"Nooo, please, Wonwoo, don't leave." Hoshi whimpers, tightening his grip on Wonwoo like he's afraid he's going to vanish like some bubble.

"I just came back from my shift, and this is what you guys greet me with?" Wonwoo sighs, clearly giving up, too tired to argue any longer.

"Believe it or not, it was actually Hoshi-hyung's idea to do this." Myungho chimes in, his voice matching Wonwoo's disinterest.

Wonwoo shakes his head, his hair falling messily into his eyes as he shoots a bewildered look at the last person with them.

"And why in the world are you even here?" he asks, a little confused, clearly not expecting the company of this particular friend.

DK slowly lifts his head from his knees, his face half-hidden behind his messy hair, and peeks at Wonwoo. Wonwoo looks more concerned about DK being there than about the game itself.

"I thought it would be fun." DK says, his voice trembling like he's already second-guessing his decision.

"You're literally the last person I'd think who would want to do this kind of stuff." Wonwoo mutters, half-laughing.

DK buries his head back into his knees, his shoulders shaking slightly as he tries to calm himself down before anything starts.

The four of them are sitting in a circle on the floor, and in the middle of them is a small, ominous board.

An Ouija board.

Wonwoo, clearly over this whole thing and still exhausted, sighs yet again. "Guys, can you just play this somewhere else? I'm literally dead tired right now."

DK springs up from his spot and immediately latches onto Wonwoo's other side, practically clinging to him.

"That's exactly why we wanted to play this at your place." DK says, his eyes darting nervously around the dimly lit room, already getting paranoid before they've even started. "Since you don't seem scared of anything, hyung."

"Why do you even want to play this?" Wonwoo asks, raising an eyebrow at the two men clinging to him. "You guys are literally the biggest scaredy-cats I know. Except for you, Myungho."

Myungho just waves a hand dismissively, barely glancing up from his phone as he scrolls through it without a care in the world.

"We just wanted to prove that we aren't cowards like everyone tells us we are." DK says, his voice laced with a mix of determination and nervous energy.

"You are though?" Wonwoo's voice drips with disbelief.

Hoshi and DK exchange a quick glance, both of them already on edge. They can feel their hearts pounding in their chests, but they're still stubbornly determined to go through with it.

"Tsk, whatever. Let's just start so y'all can leave me alone." Wonwoo mutters, pushing the two of them away as he places his finger on the planchette. Myungho follows suit casually, while Hoshi and DK take their time, still hesitant though the whole thing was their idea.

When all four of them finally have their fingers on the planchette, they begin.

"Spirits, we call to you. If you're good, come and speak to us." DK says, his voice shaking slightly as he stumbles over the words, feeling more uncertain with each syllable.
