'Kim Mingyu!!!"
Mingyu freezes, his fingers wrapped around a pair of chopsticks, one hand gripping a bowl. He turns around to see a fuming Wonwoo standing by the door.
"You did not." Wonwoo huffs, his ears slightly red, his lips curled into a scowl.
"Eyyyy, hyung~! You're back. How was the shoot?"
"Don't try to weasel your way out of this. What do you think you're doing?"
Mingyu glances at his bowl. He knows very well that what he's done is going to make Wonwoo mad, but that was exactly what he wanted.
"Ummm, eating noodles?" he smiles.
Wonwoo scoffs, his eyes growing wide as he senses the teasing edge in Mingyu's voice.
"Noodles. Noodles—ha, damn right that's what you're eating, but in case you've forgotten, those are mine. My precious buldak noodles that you're eating!" He places one hand on his hip and waves the other in the air, pointing at Mingyu, then at the bowl of noodles.
"Hyung, chill. I'll just get you another box."
"You knew that was the last one! You knew I was going to get home tonight and feel shitty as hell, tired from that dreaded shoot, and you knew damn well that the only thing that's going to make me feel less shitty"—he points to the noodles—"is that."
Mingyu enjoys the display, rarely seeing this side of Wonwoo. Honestly, this might be the first time he's really seen it.
It hadn't been long since they became roommates.
Mingyu had told Jeonghan how nice it was having Wonwoo as his roommate. The two were casually talking, sitting on those uncomfortable plastic folding chairs as they waited for their turn at the photoshoot.
"Yeah, I really have no complaints with him. He's like the perfect roommate."
Jeonghan nods, sharing the sentiment as he himself had been roommates with Wonwoo before for two years. "Yeah, he really is. Just don't get him mad." He pauses for a moment, glancing over at Mingyu with a knowing look. "Trust me, you don't want to see that side of him." He laughs lightly, a hint of warning in his voice.
Mingyu turns to Jeonghan. "He can get mad too?"
"Everyone does, Mingyu. He's only human. The first time I saw it..." Jeonghan shivers. "I was seriously intimidated, a little scared, but not gonna lie, it was kind of amusing to see that cold expression of his break into a fit of pure anger. Lol."
"Wow. I guess we really click, then, since we haven't really fought or anything like that."
"Yeah, yeah. I mean, you're such a good guy. I doubt you'd do anything to piss Wonwoo off. But after that incident, we sorta got close too."
Mingyu's interest peaks. "Oh yeah? How so?"
Jeonghan ponders. "Well, normally Wonwoo wouldn't like people just barging into his room, right?"
Mingyu nods.
"Well, after that, he didn't really mind me barging in unannounced. He'd even let me lie down on his bed and play some video games or something, though I'd get bored after just 15 minutes."
Realization stung Mingyu as he delved deep into his memories, sifting through the moments they had shared together. It was only now, after hearing Jeonghan's words, that he realized they weren't as close as he had thought.
"Hmm, must be nice to get close to Wonwoo hyung like that."
"You told me yourself that you guys click. Don't you two hang out or anything?"
