"What the...?"
Wonwoo opens the closet and finds a teenage boy curled up in the furthest corner. Skin, covered in patches of purple and blue. Lips, cut and bleeding. One of his eyes, bruised, likely an old injury based on its color.
He clenches his jaw at the sight of the shivering boy.
"Who the hell is this?" he mutters to himself, momentarily forgetting that his mask has been pulled down, revealing his entire face to a potential witness.
"Hey, did you find anything there SIX?" a voice calls out to him from the living room.
Wonwoo raises a finger to his lips, a silent warning for the boy to remain quiet no matter what. He then slowly closes the closet door and exits the room, calmly facing his partner as they continue cleaning up the place.
"There was nothing in there SEVEN. Are you done here?"
Woozi, otherwise known as 7, was crouched down on the ground, his hands busy wrapping up the dead bodies now sprawled out on the floor.
"Yeah. I'll finish up this one, and then you haul them to the van."
Wonwoo nods and looks around the apartment, his eyes narrowing as he searches for any signs that these two clients they have now in body bags might have had a child.
He wouldn't be so shocked if it were in the records, but since a young teenage boy wasn't in any of the family registrations, Wonwoo shouldn't assume anything right away.
Asking Woozi would only make him suspicious, so he decides to quietly continue his search.
"This will give us the livers, kidneys, and hearts we need. Too bad they're on the older side, they might not be any good for the buyers who need them."
Yup, never gonna ask Woozi.
Don't get Wonwoo wrong. He thinks Woozi is a good guy, but the guy follows the rules to a T. It's the sole reason why their boss trusts them so much with important buyers—and why they've climbed up the ladder this far. He'll for sure bring the kid in and add him as an additional item to their inventory.
"I'm sure we can still make use of them. They're not that old."
"Yeah, I guess so. Anyway, that's that. I've cleaned everything already. Come help me carry these now."
"Yeah, let's move."
---------------------
"Are they all good?"
"Yeah. The bodies were still fresh, so the organs are still viable. Have them shipped as soon as possible, or else they might end up useless."
"I have the boys all ready for shipment. Thank you for your work."
It was dim. That unmistakable scent of blood just lingering in the air. Metal tables lined up with opened bodies. Empty shells, devoid of all their organs that once made them human.
Such a gruesome scene, yet Wonwoo still manages to pour himself a cup of hot black coffee and drink it right there.
Right in front of all those eyeless bodies.
"Ugh, can't believe you drink in this place."
"Stop complaining, will you?"
Woozi enters the morgue, his feet tiptoeing as he avoids the puddles of blood on the floor. A look of disgust crosses his face as he studies Wonwoo's bloodied appearance.
"At least change if you're going to drink something. Look at all the blood on you."
"It's just on my coat anyway. I've removed my gloves and washed my hands."
