"Bro, your girlfriend has been grilling me for the past two hours already, asking for you. Why the hell are you avoiding her?" Wonwoo's voice cuts through the air as he steps into his room, his eyes immediately locking onto Mingyu, who is casually sprawled across his bed with no care in the world.

Mingyu doesn't flinch at the question. He just looks up lazily, one arm tucked behind his head, while the other scrolls through his phone. "I'm not."

Wonwoo tossed his bag across the floor with a sigh, dropping it by the door before making his way to his desk. He slumped into his chair, the familiar squeak of the leather bringing a small smile to his face. It had been a long day for him—on campus the entire time, attending classes, meetings, dodging Mingyu's girlfriend, running errands, repeatedly explaining to Mingyu's girlfriend that he had no idea where Mingyu was, hitting the library, finishing his thesis, and then running into Mingyu's girlfriend once more in the hallway just as he was about to head home. Yeah, it had been one of those days. He desperately needed to unwind with some games to de-stress.

With a quick motion, he powers on his computer. The soft whir of the fan fills the quiet room as the screen flickers to life. His hand moves instinctively to the mouse, clicking the game icon he knows so well. The familiar routine offers a brief escape.

"Then why the hell are you here, in my room?" Wonwoo asks, his eyes glued to the screen as the game loads up.

Mingyu's fingers paused on his screen, his eyes drifting from his phone to the back of Wonwoo, who was sitting contentedly in his gaming chair, right by the foot of the bed. The silence between them told Wonwoo that Mingyu wasn't just avoiding his girlfriend—something more was going on.

"I just don't feel like seeing her right now." Mingyu finally muttered, his voice low, as if he wasn't even convinced of his own answer.

Wonwoo sucks his teeth and shakes his head. "Goodness. You two literally just started dating five days ago, and here you are, not doing your boyfriend duties for your cute girlfriend."

Mingyu could only remain silent then. He listened to Wonwoo's fast fingers clacking away on his keyboard, his hand maneuvering the mouse along the desk, clicking and swiping. Wonwoo seemed oblivious to the way Mingyu was looking at him. The words he had casually said, with no deeper meaning behind them, somehow stung Mingyu more than he was willing to admit.

"You find her cute?" Mingyu's voice was quieter now, softer, but the underlying curiosity was evident.

Wonwoo shrugged nonchalantly, finally tearing his eyes away from the screen and glancing over his shoulder at Mingyu.

"Don't you?" he asked, his tone laced with disbelief as he looked back at Mingyu, still sitting on his bed.

Mingyu stared at him, as if trying to read him, searching for some hidden meaning. Wonwoo's answer and expression didn't satisfy him at all. His mind started to flood with other thoughts, wondering if it was possible that Wonwoo could actually fall for someone like her.

"But do you? " Mingyu pressed again, his words colder now, more insistent.

Wonwoo's lips curved into the faintest of smiles, a bit unsure of how to answer but deciding to keep it light. "Yeah, I do. She seems nice. I heard she likes to game too." he said casually, glancing back at his screen. "But hey, don't worry, I'm not gonna hit on her. You can trust me on that."

"Well, she is nice. And pretty, too." Mingyu said, more to himself than to Wonwoo.

"Then why are you still here?" Wonwoo asked, his frustration rising. "She's gonna hate you if you keep this up."
