"Ugh, can't you move any faster?" Wonwoo's voice echoed through the apartment. He paced around the kitchen, gathering his and Mingyu's packed lunch boxes and thermos, his eyes glancing at the clock every minute or so as he waited for Mingyu to emerge from their room.

"I'm trying, hyung. Stop yelling, okay? I'm doing my best here." Mingyu called from inside the bedroom, his voice muffled as he threw on his jacket and fumbled with his shoes.

Wonwoo let out a frustrated sigh. His feet anxiously tapping away on the floor. "If only you stood up the minute your alarm went off, this wouldn't be happening right now."

"I get it, okay? I'm sorry, hyung." Mingyu finally appeared, looking genuinely apologetic as he adjusted his collar.

Wonwoo crossed his arms and shot him a pointed look. "I'm sick of your apologies, Mingyu. When the hell are you going to change that habit?"

Mingyu shrugged, looking a little sheepish. "I was just really tired. I needed to sleep in more."

"Right." Wonwoo replied with a roll of his eyes. "More excuses."

"I swear I'll change." Mingyu promised, his voice earnest.

"Whatever. Don't forget your lunch." Wonwoo grumbled, turning towards the door.

"Oh yeah, thanks again for making this for me." Mingyu said, flashing him a smile as he grabbed his lunchbox.

Wonwoo's eyes flicked over to him, a small exhale escaping his lips. "Can't believe I have to deal with you forever..."

"Good morning, Chief Jeon~" a soft voice greeted him as a woman in a business suit stepped inside.

"Good morning, Hyein." Wonwoo nodded, offering her a polite smile.

He shifted further to the back to give Hyein space, though it wasn't really necessary since they were the only ones in the elevator.

They waited for a few more seconds, not pressing the close button, thinking there might be someone else who would want a ride.

The pitter-patter of footsteps echoed through the marble hallway, growing louder as it neared the elevator where Wonwoo and Hyein were standing. Just as the elevator doors were about to close, a hand shot through, stopping them.

"Sorry, I had to run back and grab my lunch."

Hyein froze in her spot. The sight of their usually calm and collected president, now heaving and gripping tightly onto the metal door with one hand while the other rested on his knee as he paced to catch his breath, was something she had never expected to witness this morning.

Mingyu finally locked eyes with Hyein, only then realizing it wasn't just him and Wonwoo in the elevator today.

Wonwoo, standing behind, sighed and shook his head in disbelief. His eyes widened in silent warning, mouthing at Mingyu to stop talking and straighten himself up.

"Uh, uh, good morning, President." the woman stammered, her voice faltering as she took in the situation. "Did you perhaps confuse this elevator for the private one?"

Mingyu blinked, pausing for a moment before finally composing himself, straightening his tie as he did. "Actually, the elevator I usually use is under repair."

"I see." Hyein replied, stepping aside to make space for Mingyu, her eyes curious as she took in the unusual situation.

Mingyu entered the elevator and awkwardly shifted his weight, unsure of where to stand, though it wasn't as obvious to Hyein. He pulled out his phone and started texting.
