Happy Halloween

Hi hello am working on batfam p2 but it is quickly becoming over 3000 words so might have to split it into 3 but I wanted to write a cute Lil blurb about everyone being happy and alive and celebrating Halloween with Tony at the Tower and everyone being HAPPY. This is mostly unedited bc I'm writing this while sitting at work.

"So, are you gonna be Spider-Man for Halloween?" I shake my head.

"What happens if I need to actually be him? What if some crazy villain makes the connection?"

"You could wear your original Spider-Man suit." Ned adds.

"Yea, just say it's a homemade cosplay."

"Nah, I've got my costume pretty locked in." I say, thinking back to it.

"If you're sure." MJ steals one of my fries.

"Alright class, you may be aware that the annual Halloween party has been... moved from its usual location of the school gymnasium to an undisclosed location." Mr Harrington announces as we all settle back into our seats. "It's been kept a secret because we didn't know if the venue would... agree. So I want to reiterate that it is still a surprise, but costumes are, of course, encouraged, but this will double as an educational trip, as the... venue is hosting their own party. Yes, we trust that everything will be fine. But please, remember to get your permission slips signed and turned in."

I arrive back at the Tower to see Halloween prep in full swing. We take Halloween very seriously here at Stark Industries.

"Hey, Pete." One of my fellow interns, Rich, is hanging decorations. "You're coming to the party, right?"

"Uh, I might miss the first wave, my school's Halloween party is at the same time, but I'll be here for the after party."

"So what are you dressing as?" KC, another intern, asks.

"Like I'm going to expose my secrets. You will have to wait and see."

"I'll show you mine if you show me yours." Moth, you guessed it, another intern.

"Not going to happen. Get back to work." I instruct as I make my way back to the lab.

"Hey, Pete!" I smile and wave at Jase and Barb, hanging a banner. Well, Jase and Maria are hanging a banner. Barb and Caroline are supervising.

"Peter!" A wave goes through the crowd of working interns, and everyone stops and waves at me.

"Hey, guys! Who needs a hand?"

"Me!" Steph raises her hand from her spot on Carrie's shoulders.

"I'm coming."

By the time the clock strikes ten, we've turned the Tower into the Tower or Terror. At least, the lower levels. It gets opened to the public for a haunted house for two nights only, and then everyone celebrates the end in a massive party. It opens tomorrow, and everyone already has assigned roles and such. We get prepared months in advance, except for the decor. Is a haunted house kind of a weird thing for a multi-billion dollar industry to do? I mean, kinda, but it's fun, and Tony likes it. Morgan? Morgan loves it. And we give out superlatives during the party. 'Best Dressed' 'Scariest Costume' and so on.

"Hey, Peter!" I wave at Jenna and Selina as I make my way to the elevator.

"Hey!" I hold it open as they walk over.
