Beautiful Mistake

Chapter 12

It's been two weeks since Destery and i started dating, and let me tell you, we get a lot of attention. I've never had a boyfriend before, so it was a shocker seeing me holding hands with the opposite sex. I didn't really mind it. I've always been invisible to everyone, but at times it can be annoying constantly being stared at.

We walked down the hallway, hand in hand towards the cafe. Haley and Nathan were already seated, making goo-goo eyes at each other. I rolled my eyes and sat down.

"Hello? Earth to Haley and Nate! You aren't the only two people in the cafe!" I said, waving my hand in front of their faces.

Haley gave me a glare and rolled her eyes, Nathan just laughed.

"So! We should all go on a triple date!" Nathan said, wrapping his arm around Haley.

"I think that's a great idea!" Kayla said, walking hand in hand with Harry.

"Hi Harry." I said with a smile.

"Hello Bay." Harry said, brushing one of his brown curls out of his face.

Kayla and Harry have been dating for at least 3 years, so he was like a brother to me. They sat down across from us.

"So what should we do?" Destery asked, grabbing my hand and playing with my fingers.

"I think we should go skating!" I suggested.

Everyone agreed, looking excited.

"Then a slumber party at our place?" Nate asked, looking at Destery.

"Sounds great."

Everyone nodded.

"Sweet! See all you sexy people Friday!" Nate said, getting up from his seat and walking haley to her class.

"Mom!" I called as I got home.

She got back from her trip a week ago but soon had to go back, for her mother came down with something serious.

"I'm in my room! Wanna help me pack?" She asked as I flopped down on her bed.

"Not really." I said sarcastically.

She rolled her eyes and went back to folding a shirt. It was quiet for a while, which I didn't mind. After a while I got tired of the silence.

"So, is Jake going with you?" I asked, playing with a piece of string from her bed sheet.

She looked at me for a second before shaking her head.

"No, he's not coming. This is for family only. I would bring you but I can't."

I nodded. My grandmother never really was fond of me. She didn't like my father, she didn't like the fact that my mother fell in love with him. I didn't really care. If she didn't like my father then I didn't like her. I sat there as she finished packing. She turned to me and kissed my forehead.

"I don't know when I'll be back, but text me every night and morning, okay?" She smiled a little, looking a little more than worried.

"Don't worry mom I'll be fine. If anything I'll either stay with Haley or Nathan." I hugged her tightly, reassuring her everything would be alright.

"Okay. Well I'm off. My flight leaves soon and I don't want to miss it."

I nodded and hugged her good bye. She kissed my cheek and left. The house felt so empty and quiet. I pulled out my phone and texted Destery.

*To: CapnDes<3- Mum just left. Don't know when she will be back. Kind of lonely :/*

In no time Destery texted back.

*From: CapnDes<3-Do you want me to stay over till she comes home? :)*

I thought for a moment. Should I let him? I wondered how it would be letting Destery stay here. I didn't want to be here alone so I texted him back.

*To:CapnDes<3-Could you please?! I don't want to be alone! :)*

Destery's POV.

I smiled at Bays text. She was so darn cute. I got up from the couch and headed to my room to pack. As I was packing, Nathan stopped at my door.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm packing. Bays mum left for a trip and doesn't know when she'll be back. She doesn't want to be alone so I'm staying over there."

Nate's eyes got wide, and then he started to tease.

"Ooooooooh! CapnDesDes is getting it in!!!" He yelled, as he started to hump the air and smack it.

I got up and shoved him.

"Dude! How about no! Bay is not ready for that and I'm not either."

Nathan just laughed, "Does she know you're still a virgin?"

I rolled my eyes and shoved him out of my room, slamming the door shut. I heard him laugh as he walked back down the hallway. I finished packing and left for Bays house, glad to get away from Nathan. I pulled up to her driveway when my phone went off. I groaned at the sight of who it was.

*From: Stephanie- Babe! Long time no talk! I miss you! Text me ;)*

I threw my phone into my bag, ignoring her text. Why haven't I deleted her number yet? I got out of my car and walked to Bay's front door. I knocked. It took her a while to open it, but when she did she was all smiles.

"Hello gorgeous." I said, kissing her cheek.

She giggled, "Hello."

She grabbed my hand and led me upstairs to her room. I set my stuff down on her floor and sat on her bed.

"Ooh, comfy."

I saw her blush. I was her first boyfriend, so she's obviously hasn't had anyone cuddle her. I got up and grabbed her hands, pulling her close.

"Don't worry Bay, we won't do anything you don't want to do." I looked down at her face, her beautiful innocent face.

I bent my head and kissed her tender lips. I wrapped my arms around her, deepening the kiss. I felt her small hands make their way around my neck, as I pushed her up against the wall. I licked her bottom lip, wanting access but she wouldn't allow it. I broke away from her, smiling and moving a strand of hair from her face.

"So, I'm thinking movie night?"

She smiled and nodded, "You get the blankets and I'll make the popcorn."

I smiled at her, kissing her nose before letting her go. I didn't know how incredible she actually made me feel. I could be myself around her. I was falling hard for Bay so fast, but I didn't want to tell her yet.

We watched movies until we fell fast asleep on the couch, clinging to each other, not wanting to let go.
