"Oh my gosh!" I heard Kayla scream as she came running up to me in the halls.

"What?"

"Prom is coming up!" She squealed.

I rolled my eyes, "Yeah and?"

Her excitement stopped and her face fell.

"Aren't you and Destery going to prom?"

I shrugged, "I'm not really into dances, especially prom."

She glared at me, "No. You're going, the both of you are!"

"I'll pass."

"Bay! You like to have dance party's, what's the difference?"

"You have to dress up and spend a lot of money. Plus, they don't play dubstep. My dance party's are better than prom." I stated, shutting my locker.

Kayla frowned, "You're going."

"Kayla I don't want to go, and Destery doesn't either. We're not very social people."

"I'm not a social person either. In fact I hate people but I'm still going. You only get one prom."

I sighed, she was right, but I never planned on going, and I didn't even know if Destery wanted to go. We walked down the halls until I spotted him.

"I'll see you later."

"Talk to him about it! Or I will!" She yelled after me.

I rolled my eyes at her and reached Destery.

"Hello beautiful." He smiled, planting a kiss on my cheek.

"Hey." I smiled.

"So what was Kayla yelling after you about?" He asked as we laced our fingers together and strolled into our classroom.

"She wants me to go to prom, so I told her I'd ask if you wanted to go." I said, as I sat down on top of my desk.

"I'd love to go."

I looked at him shocked, I never thought he would want to go.

"Y-you want to go?" I asked stupidly since he clearly just said that he did.

He nodded, "Yea, it would be fun. I never thought of going until I met you."

I smiled, my cheeks blushing. He kissed my forehead just as the teacher walked in and told us to be seated.

"What about this one?" I asked as I walked out of the dressing room.

"Eh, it's not really you." Haley said, looking from top to bottom.

I saw Kayla shake her head no. This was the 5th dress I've tried on and I was starting to get frustrated. I stomped back into the dressing room and shimmied out of the dress. I threw it back on the hanger, and looked at the last dress I chose. I picked a blue one that I had my eye on and saved it for last. I took it off its hanger and slid it on, I looked at it in the mirror. I wasn't to sure about it, so I decided to show the girls.

"What about..-" I began to say, but before I could get the rest out, they were gushing.

"Oh my gosh that's the one!" Haley squealed, her eyes big with excitement.

"Yes! Oh my gosh yes! That one. It's perfect. Like, my feels!" Kayla said like a true Twitter user.

"I don't know guys, I mean I really like it but I don't know.."

I turned towards the mirror again and looked at myself. This dress WAS perfect. It was a light blue color with a hint of sparkles in the fabric, it was slightly poofy but not to poofy. The back was ribbon so you can see the skin of my back, and it was strapless. It hugged me in all the right places, and fit perfectly. A smile spread across my face.
