Haley's POV.

Tonight, I had a date with Nathan. I stood in front of my mirror, swaying to the left then right. I couldn't decide on the perfect outfit. I check my phone. 7:45. I sighed and changed into blue jeans and a pink t-shirt. Just as I was sliding my cowgirl boots on I heard the door bell. I quickly checked my make up and fixed my hair.

I rushed down the stairs and opened the door.

Nathan was smiling, hands full of flowers. He was wearing a button down shirt with a clip on tie, black jeans, and his red converse. He looked so cute.

"Are those for me?" I asked, pointing to the flowers.

"No, I picked them for me. Of course they're for you!" He smiled, handing me the flowers.

I giggled and put them in a vase full of water.

"Shall we go?" Nathan said, holding his arm out to me.

"Wait."

I turned Nate to face me, gently pressing my lips against his. His snake bites were cold against my bare lips. I pulled away, studying his face as he started to smile.

"Wow." Was all he said.

"Now we can go." I grinned at him.

I wrapped my arm around his as he began to lead me to his car. He opened the passenger door for me.

"Thank you."

"You're quiet welcome, my lady."

I giggled as he jogged to the other side of his car, sliding in next to me.

We drove down towards Laconia. We pulled into Fratellos. The place was quiet. There was barely any people at the restaurant, which I didn't mind because it meant that Nate and I could have a quiet evening together.

We walked in, not having to wait for a table.

"Right this way."

We followed the waiter to a table for two. As we walked up to our table, I gasped. It was a small table in the corner, covered with rose petals of all colors. There was beautiful looking drapes with fake vines weaving through them, and to top it off there was white Christmas lights hanging all around, sparklingly like stars. I turned to Nathan. His smile was as big as ever.

"Di-did you do this for me?"

He nodded, grabbing my hand and pulling me to our table. He sat me down and gave me a rose. I looked up at him, not knowing what to say.

"I wanted our first official date to be perfect. Just like you."

I stood up and wrapped my arms around him, hugging him tightly.

"It's perfect Nathan, so perfect." I looked at him and kissed him for the second time. He wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer. This time, our kiss was a little longer and a little passionate. When we pulled away the waiter was still standing there, looking a bit awkward.

"May I, um, get you anything to drink?"

Nathan and I laughed as we took our seats.

"A Coke please. Make that two." Nathan said.

I smiled at him. This night couldn't be anymore perfect.

*******

Nathan POV.

I couldn't wait for the food to get to our table. I was so hungry I could eat a cow, which was what I ordered. I wanted my steak to get here. Along with my mashed potatoes and carrots.

I looked over at Haley. She looked so beautiful. Her dirty blonde hair looked so silky and soft, I wanted to run my fingers through it. Her eyes were indescribable, so blue and so gorgeous, I could get lost in them. Her skin was fair, her freckles littered her face. I loved them. Her smile, God her smile was so bright and beautiful. I couldn't believe it took me this long to ask her out.

She looked up at me, catching me staring at her. She smiled.

"What?" She said, looking concerned.

I smiled at her, she was so adorable.

"Nothing. You're just so adorable."

She smiled at me, cheeks turning pink.

"Thank you. You are too."

"Oh, stop it you!" I said loudly, making her giggle.

"Here you go, sir."

The waiter placed my food in front of me.

"Finally! Food!"

I shoved some mashed potatoes into my mouth, cutting my steak and taking a bite.

Haley rolled her eyes, laughing.

After we finished eating, we tipped our waiter and drove back to my house. Once back at my place, we put our leftovers (when I say "our" leftovers, I mean Haley's leftovers.) in the fridge and laid on the couch.

Haley rested her head on my chest as I wrapped a blanket around us. I held her close, soaking up her warmth.

"Want to watch a movie?" I asked, grabbing the remote and putting it to OnDemand.

"Sure. Lets watch 21 Jump Street."

I laughed, "Okay. I've never seen it."

Haley sat up, staring up at me with wide eyes.

"Oh my gosh. You haven't lived! Turn it on!"

I laughed, "Okay okay, here it is."

****

I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life when watching a movie. After we watched 21 Jump Street I put cartoons on. We snuggled closer, soaking up each others body heat. Haley looked up at me and smiled.

"What?" I asked, smiling back at her.

"Tonight was perfect, Nate. I loved every second of it."

Hearing that made me smile. For once, i did something right. I smiled at Haley and bent over to press my lips to hers. Our kiss was long. Passionate. Her soft lips were mimicking mine it was like we belonged together. We pulled away and I gently kissed her nose. She blushed and looked down, trying to hide it. I chuckled and intertwined our fingers together. Haley fell asleep, snuggling close to my body. I held her tightly and I started to drift off too. Tonight was perfect. She thought tonight was perfect.

I woke up a little when I heard Destery sneaking back inside. I smiled to myself, glad that my best friend and Bay were becoming friends. I heard him tip toe to his room and shut the door.

I hugged Haley tighter, and fell back to sleep with my girl in my arms.
