Chapter 27

Destery's POV.

I set up the white sheet as Nathan set up the camera. I was getting butterflies in my stomach as I thumbtacked the sheet to the wall.

"Are we ready?" Nathan asked, as I stepped off the ladder.

"Ready as I'll ever be." I said as I stepped in front of the camera.

"1...2..3..."

Bay's POV.

I finally was able to have my laptop back, only for school work though. My mum made sure I wouldn't be able to see Destery in school, I didn't even see him in the parking lot. I sat there emotionless on Tumblr, feeling numb and empty. I was in the middle of reblogging a photo when Haley messaged me on gmail.

*To: Haley- I'm not up for anything.*

*From: Haley- Do it. Now.*

I sighed, I wasn't in the mood to argue so I clicked on the link. It took me to YouTube, the title of the video was 'BAY BAY BAY BAY!!!!'

That's when the tears started. I saw Destery's face, and heard his voice for the first time in weeks.

"Hello fellow youtubers, you have no idea who I am so let me just tell you! My name is Destery Smith, I'm a lame ass excuse for a human being and probably half dragon. I like playing Zelda with my best friend Nathan. Who's Nathan you may ask? Well why don't you come on over here and show these lovely people your beautiful face."

I laughed as Nathan emerged from Destery's left with not a very attractive face on.

"I'm Nathan Owens and I'm Destery's best and only friend." Nathan said in a country accent.

"Alrighty then, well if you're all wondering 'why is this weird ass kid on the Internet?' then let me just tell you why!" Destery's face got serious, all the humor was gone. "A few weeks ago my girlfriend's mom found us in the worst possible way. Now we're not even allowed to see, or speak to each other, and let me tell you, it's killing me, and I bet it's killing her. So since I can't see her I thought she'd like to see me, even if its behind a screen. Bay I hope you're doing alright, and I hope this makes up for everything. You can thank Nathan for this because it was his idea and it actually got me out of bed."

Tears flowed down my cheeks, making his face blurry.

"Anyways, I'll be making a video every week for you darling. Because this helps me, I hope it helps you. I love you."

He blew a kiss to the screen, smiled and the video ended. I sat there, tears falling down like a water fall. I shut my computer off and slid under my covers.

Haley's POV.

"Did she watch it?" Destery asked, eager to know.

I shrugged, "I don't know. I told her to but who knows if she really did."

Destery looked like he was going to have a heart attack, "Can you go over her house and see?"

I sighed, I didn't really want to get up. Steven was getting heavy, and I felt like I was ready to give birth at any day now. Honestly, it was getting scary, I didn't want to go through that pain.

"Destery, I'm sure she watched it. Don't make Haley get up and go to her house." Nathan protested.

"No it's alright, I need to walk around anyways." I struggled to get up, Nathan grabbed my arm to help.

"Thanks baby," I smiled I'll see you later." I kissed him quickly on the lips and waddled to my car.

I arrived at Bays house and struggled to get out of the car.

"Steven, I'm already sick of you." I jokingly mumbled to myself as I waddled up to her door.

I knocked three times and no one answered.

"Bay!" I shouted, pounding in the door.

I heard movement on the other side, suddenly the door opened slowly.

"I'm still grounded.."

I ignored her and pushed my way through the door and headed for the bathroom. After I peed for the 15th time in like, the past hour, I waddled back towards Bay.

"Did you watch the video?" I asked, even though I already knew the answer judging by he tear stained face.

She nodded without saying a word.

"Look it will get better. We'll be graduating in almost a month and then you'll be able to see Destery all you want because you'll move in with me."

She smiled a bit, nodding her head. I hugged her tightly.

"Mind if I sit down? I can't stand for too long anymore." I chuckled.

She grinned a little bit and offered me a seat. We talked for hours, and ended up watching movies like old times. Her mum came home and ordered me to get out. I was surprised by her tone. She used to see me as a second daughter. Now she looked at me as if I was nothing. I waddled out to my car, sighing as I slid in. Vanessa has changed so much. I hoped it was the hormones from her pregnancy. I shrugged to myself and started my car, heading for home.

Hey guys, sorry it's so short and sorry it took so long to upload. I had another major writing block, and also realized I needed to start getting back to chapters where Destery is actually doing the thing he does. My editor completely forgot to upload this chapter -_- [sorry guys:(- haley]
