The week was dragging on very slowly, and it was rainy and gross. I sat at my desk, not even paying attention to the teacher. It was only 2nd block and I felt like the day should have been over already. I looked up from my doodles to sneak a peek at Destery, I couldn't help but giggle at him. He was resting his head on his hand sleeping away, slightly snoring. I poked Haley and pointed at Destery. She snorted, trying to hide her laugh.

"Girls! What is so funny?"

Uh oh, busted.

"Nothing Ms. Denmark." I replied, smiling sweetly at her.

She just glared at me and went back to writing on the board. I rolled my eyes at her, looking at Haley as she mocked her. I bit my lip to try and hold back my laughter. Ms. Denmark hated us, and it was her fault for putting us next to each other. I lightly slapped her, making her stop. I slipped my headphones in and decided to listen to "Balloon Party" on SoundCloud. I silently bobbed my head to the beat, and tapped my toes along to it. It was my favorite song, no lyrics, just music. Destery made it, he was very good at it too. I loved all of the songs he made, but "Balloon Party" made me feel happy inside and helped me forget my problems. I had to keep myself from getting up and dancing.

Soon the bell rang for lunch. I practically ran out of my seat and into the hall, waiting for Destery to come out. He was the last one out, dragging his feet.

"Come on slow poke. This is why you should sleep at night." I said, taking his hand.

"Shush you, I was working on a new song." He said while yawning, making it hard to understand him.

I rolled my eyes, smiling. He wouldn't tell me or let me hear what he was working on, telling me it was a surprise.

"I don't want to think about the times when I would scream and shout, trapped behind a locked door in a little room with no window." I sang to myself.

"Are you listening to "Lunagram-Keys" again?" Destery asked, taking my ear bud and putting it in his ear.

I nodded, "Yes. You should finish that one, I really like it."

Destery shook his head, smiling, "Not until I finish the one I'm working on."

I sighed, sitting down as we reached the lunch table. Haley and Nathan weren't there, which was weird because Nathan was always the first to get food before anyone in the school.

"Where's Nathan and Haley?" I asked.

Kayla shrugged, "I don't know. I haven't seen them all morning."

I took my phone out of my bag and texted Haley.

*To: Haley- Where did you go? You were just here in second block.*

*From: Haley- Doctors appointment.*

I "oohed" to myself, putting my phone back in my bag. She's been having a lot of doctors appointments lately, I think it was due to the fact that she due in a few months and she was a teenager, preparing her for the birth that was going to happen. I shrugged to myself and continued eating my sandwich. I still had my head buds in, the song "Haunted Dreams" came on. I swayed back and forth in my seat, listening to the sweet music flowing through my ears. I saw Destery smile and shake his head, he didn't understand why I liked his dub step music so much. He thought it wasn't very good, but I loved it. It was sweet and some of it was upbeat. It was a mix of both and it was magical. Destery didn't know it but I also listen to some of his old songs he made that were hilarious, like "Nasty Shoes." It cracked me up every time it came on.

I had the urge to dance as "Super Action Trailer" came on, it wasn't a long song but it had a good beat to it, just like "Mail Vlog".

"Can we have a dance party later, with your music? Please!" I asked, grabbing onto Destery shirt and tugging like a five year old.

"Why? My music isn't that good." He said, looking down on me.

I did my puppy dog face and made little whimpers. Destery sighed and grinned. I pecked him on the cheek,

"Thank you!" I said, before running off to my next class.

I couldn't wait to get home. I sat in my seat squirming. I tapped my foot along with the beat of the song playing. People giving me looks, looking annoyed. I watched the clock. Only two more minutes. I stood up and started walking towards the doors, sprinting out just as the bell rang. I ran out to my car, waving to Kayla and Harry. I sped off to Des and Nate's house, getting there before anyone else. I plugged in my iPhone, turning the volume way up. I started swaying my body back and forth, making up moves as I went. I jumped as arms snaked around my waist and a kiss planted on my cheek.

"I didn't hear you come in!" I yelled over the music.

Destery just smiled, walking towards the stereo and turning the music off.

"Hey! Why did you do that?" I asked, walking over to turn the music back on.

He just took my hand, dragging me towards his computer room.

"Come on Des, I want to dance." I complained.

He sighed and rolled his eyes, typing something into his computer. I shook my head and started to walk away when the music started. I didn't recognize the tune, then I heard Desterys voice.

"Across the ocean, to cold for crashing waves, where time is frozen, waiting for you to say 'This love with you is the best that I've ever felt, I'll wait for you even after the ice melts'"

Destery sang the very last words into my ear as he wrapped his arms around my waist from behind. Our bodies swayed back and forth slowly. I turned to face him, wrapping my arms around his neck and kissing him. When the song ended we broke apart, forehead to forehead.

"Destery, I love it, it's..." I was at a loss for words. It was beautiful, breath taking, incredible.

No words could explain it.

"I made it for you. It's about you." He said, kissing the tip of my nose.

I smiled, a single tear rolling down my cheek. My heart fluttered, butterflies were in my stomach, mind spinning. This is what it was like to be in love. Before I knew what I was doing, it slipped out.

"I think I'm in love with you."

I snapped my eyes open, leaning back to look at Desterys face. He had a look of surprise.

"I-I um...I." I stuttered, embarrassed that that had even slipped out.

I couldn't meet his gaze. I slipped out of his arms and practically jogged down the hall. I grabbed my phone and my keys.

"Bay, wait! Why are you leaving?"

He grabbed my hand, spinning me around. I looked at the ground, refusing to look in his eyes.

"I shouldn't have said that."

"Why? Don't be embarrassed."

"I shouldn't have said that." I repeated.

How could I have let that slip out? He did say he loved me but that doesn't mean he's IN love with me. I might have just screwed everything up.

"Bay I'm glad you did. I'm in love with you too."

I looked up at him, staring into his eyes. He bent his head, pressing his soft lips against mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me closer. He pushed me against the counter. I set my keys and phone down. We stumbled down the hall towards his room, kissing messily. When we finally reached his room we flopped down on his bed.

We kicked our shoes off, Destery slipped off my shirt. He kissed down my neck, making my breathing become uneven.
