Chapter 26

I woke up to the sound of banging on the door. I rubbed my eyes and looked around, more banging on the door.

"BAY LYNN SUMMERS YOU BETTER OPEN THIS DOOR RIGHT NOW!"

I felt Destery jump beside me, my heart was pounding. It was my mother. She wasn't suppose to be home yet.

"Uhh, give me a minute!" I said.

"No! Right now!"

I looked at Destery as he slid his boxers on. I grabbed my pj pants and a shirt and quickly put them on. My hand shakily grabbed for the door knob. I looked over to Des and mouthed "I love you."

The door flew open, fire burning in my mothers eyes. She kind of scared me, I've never seen her like this before.

"Who the hell is this?! And why is he here naked?!" She yelled, grabbing me by my shirt and pushing me against the wall.

"Um..ah...this..is Destery.." I stuttered out, scared shitless.

"Why is he here?! And why are both your clothes scattered everywhere?! And why is he in your room?! And why is he in his boxers?!" She spat at me.

I lost it and began to cry. She let go of me as I slid down the wall, burying my face in my shaky hands.

"Get the hell out of my house! NOW!" She growled.

"Y-yes Mrs. Summers." I heard Destery choke out, grabbing his clothes and scrabbling out of here.

"You are never to see him again Bay, do you hear me?! You're grounded for life! No friends, no going out! I can't believe you!"

She slammed my door shut, leaving me alone. Not once did I come out of my room. I climbed in my bed and cried, all day. I got to the point where I got sick a couple of times. When my mum called for dinner I didn't move, I wasn't hungry. I just curled up tighter in my blankets and cried myself to sleep.

Destery's POV.

I didn't get out of bed. I had no reason to. I've been crying for a week now. Bay's mother made us break up after she found out about us. No one could get me out of bed, not even Nathan. I checked my phone for the 15th time, knowing she had her phone taken away, but still hoping to see a text. A soft knock on the door turned my attention to Haley.

"I made you a grilled cheese."

I didn't say a word, just lifted the blanket over my head, feeling numb.

"Come on Des, you need to eat something. Bay would be worried sick if she knew you weren't eating."

She sat on the bed, rubbing my back softly. I peeked out from under the blankets, eyeing the sandwich. I sighed and sat up completely, taking the plate. I scarfed down the sandwich, not realizing how hungry I was.

"Can I have two more?" I asked, my voice scratchy from crying.

Haley smiled a little and nodded, leaving my bedroom. I sat there, waiting for my food to arrive. Nathan slowly came in, closing the door behind him.

"How you doing?"

I shrugged, Nathan has never seen me like this so it was kind of embarrassing.

"So I have this crazy idea.."

"Nathan I really don't want to do anything."

"Just hear me out. You want Bay to be able to see you. What if we do a YouTube channel. It would get your mind off things and you could still talk to Bay in a way."
