It's been a week since we returned from California. Since then, Aryan and I have been swamped with work. Yet both of us make sure to carve out time from our hectic schedules to spend together. Aryan has become much more expressive lately, far beyond what he used to be. He shares stories and details from his childhood to me little by little every day. What makes me happiest is that I get to see his beautiful smile more often now.

It's already lunchtime. After completing my dhuhr prayer, I check my work schedule once again and prepare to grab some lunch. Just as I reach for my phone to leave, the door swings open, and there stands the man who instantly brings a smile to my face. "Aryan? What are you doing here?"

He strides in after shutting the door, carrying a huge paper bag. "Got you lunch," he says with a bright smile.

He sets the bag on the table and begins to reveal boxes filled with food, one after another. "I'm pretty sure you're hungry. Let's eat," he says as he lifts the lids, letting the delicious aroma of the dishes fill the air.

My gaze wanders over the spread of food he brought until it lands on one specific box, causing my eyes to widen with excitement. "Is that soup dumpling? Oh my god! This is my absolute favorite Chinese dish!"

I catch a sound of Aryan's chuckle as he pulls out a chair, slides it next to mine, and takes a seat

I catch a sound of Aryan's chuckle as he pulls out a chair, slides it next to mine, and takes a seat.

"But how do you know it's my favorite?" My voice, filled with excitement directs towards him, while my eyes shimmers with happiness. His smile falters, morphing into a dramatically eerie grin that feels more adorable than creepy. (Am I really finding every little thing he does irresistibly adorable?)

"I stalked you," he replies, his voice dropping into a deep, dramatic tone, paired with that charmingly creepy smile. "Oh! I'm terrified!" I echo his dramatic tone, placing a hand over my heart, and before long, we both dissolve into laughter.

"Let's dig in," he retrieves two spoons along with two pairs of chopsticks that came with the meal and passes me a spoon.

"Hand me those chopsticks too," I reply, reaching out to take a pair from him. He observes my movement before his eyebrows arches in curiosity. "Do you know how to use those?"
