Olivia is brought back from radiology and she holds on to my hand. "Thank you Amber." I give her hand a slight squeeze and smile at her. "No problem Liv. Try get some rest. I'll stay here." Olivia nods and closes her eyes slowly drifting off to sleep.

Erin rubs my back. "It's not your fault that you didn't notice. She hid it well." I nod as I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket. I pull it out to see a message off Alicia.

Hey. Is everything okay?
What happened with Olivia?

Everything's okay.
Currently sat at the hospital with her.
She's safe now.
I don't know what we're doing about where she stays but I think mum and dad are going to sort it.

At least she's safe now.

Yeah. I'll talk to you later.
I'm gonna try get some sleep.
Night.

TIME SKIP - NEXT MORNING

"Girls. Come on. Wake up time for breakfast." I sit up straight in the chair and feel that Olivia is still holding my hand. "Morning mum. Morning Liv." I get a morning off both of them as Olivia slowly props herself up on the bed. "Jays on his way back with the food. After we've all had breakfast, we'll talk about what's going to happen after you're released from the hospital Olivia."

Jay walks in with a tray of toast, different spreads and a jug of juice with cups. "Breakfast has arrived ladies." He puts it down on the table and Olivia just sits there. Erin spreads some chocolate spread on a few slices of toast. I start eating my toast and Olivia just sits there watching me.

"Eat up Olivia." She looks up at Erin then back down. "Everyone else can eat first. I'll eat once you guys are done." Erin shakes her head and holds out a slice to Olivia. "You don't have to wait for us to finish eating. Eat up." She slowly grabs the slice of toast and eats it.

After we had all eaten, I grab my things, sorting out my uniform as best as I can whilst doing so. "Dad? Can you drop me off at school please?" He nods and stands up. "I'll come back and see you after school Liv."

She nods and Erin stands up and hugs me. "Amber? Can you pick me up some work from our lessons please? I don't want to fall behind." I nod my head. "I will but you need to rest so I'll keep it with me until you're a little better then you can have it."

Erin agrees with me and me and Jay head out of the hospital to go to school. "You're handling this pretty well Amber. How're you holding up?" I shrug my shoulders a little bit. "I don't know. Just worried about Olivia I guess. I know how that feels and she doesn't deserve it. No matter how she was with me or anyone else." Jay nods and smiles at me.

"I'm proud of you. A lot of police officers wouldn't do what you did last night." I give him a confused look. "What do you mean?" As we stop at a red light, he looks at me. "You ran in and stood up to a full grown adult, protecting someone with nothing to defend yourself with. I know several police officers that would have weapons on them and still wait for backup."

I nod my head slightly. "I wasn't thinking straight. I just wanted to make sure she was safe. No matter what it would take." He chuckles. "You would make one hell of a cop, pipsqueak." I smile at him. "You really think so?" He nods, the biggest grin on his face. "I don't think so, I know so."

We get to school and I jump out of the truck after giving Jay a hug and walk straight into school. I was a little late because we woke up a little late so everyone was already in form. "Sorry I'm late Miss." I head straight to my seat and sit next to Alicia. "How come you was late?" I turn to look at her to speak. "Mum woke us up a little later because of how late we went to sleep last night. Liv had to get an X-ray and I stayed up to wait for her."

"How's she doing?" I shake my head. "She could be better. Her and mum are gonna talk about where she's gonna go after she gets released from the hospital. I think she may be staying with us because we have the extra room now that Jay doesn't use the second guest room." Alicia looks a little shocked. "Does your mum know how she treated you?"

I nod my head. "She does. But I think she was like that because of how she was being treated. She was really nice to me last night and this morning." Alicia nods her head slightly. "At least tell me what happens with where she stays and if she stays with you guys, you tell me if she does anything."

I agree and we head to first period art. The lesson flies by and we are working on a sketch. Mine is of a dock down by the sea. It's coming along really well. Alicia is drawing a sketch of a sunset. It's really beautiful and looks extremely realistic.

The rest of the day goes by and me and Alicia spend the entire day together, just like always. Except today feels different. When we were sat down for lunch, Alicia laid her head on my shoulder and as we were walking down the corridors in between lessons, she was holding my hand! Does she feel the same way about me as I do about her?

Hey y'all. It's been a little while. Sorry about that. College has been a lot of work.
But the story!? Alicia is being protective and the way she's acting!

If you haven't today, go eat and grab something to eat. You deserve it. If it's night time for you, go to sleep.

Byeeeeeee!
