JUNGKOOK
As I stepped into our penthouse suite, it seemed to unfold before me like a scene from a movie—vast, elegant, and dripping with opulence, as if every detail had been crafted to defy expectation. I couldn't decide what captivated me more—the view, the size, or the unmistakable feeling that we'd just walked into some sort of fantasy.
I'd stayed in some decent places before, but nothing, absolutely nothing, compared to this. Everything gleamed with sophistication, from the sleek, polished furnishings to the carefully curated décor. The floor-to-ceiling windows stretched across the room, making it feel like we were floating above the ocean.
"Wow," I breathed, still trying to wrap my head around the sheer magnitude of it all until I turned to find Aria watching me, a hint of amusement in her eyes, like she'd been waiting for this reaction.
"Pretty impressive, right?" She crossed the room to stand beside me, her eyes following mine as we both took in the sweeping view.
The balcony doors stood open, letting in a soft breeze that wrapped the suite in the island's essence. Beyond, a perfect glimpse of the late-afternoon sky, streaked with hues of amber and peach, casting a soft, rose-gold glow that seemed to caress every surface in its path.
"Honestly," I ran a hand through my hair, shaking my head, "earlier when Lana said 'our room,' I was so confused, wondering why we'd all be sharing one hotel room... but now I get it. This is more than a room... it's a world of its own." I let out a small laugh, glancing around. "I think it might even be bigger than the house I grew up in."
Aria nudged me with her shoulder, her grin widening. "Well, get used to it. We're staying here all week."
"Alright... looks like my work here is done since you're both sufficiently impressed." Lana's voice came from the entryway, a lopsided smile playing on her lips before she excused herself. "I'll let you two take it all in. I'm going to head to my room and make a quick call home to check on my boys. Catch you in a bit!"
She winked and slipped down the hallway, leaving Aria and me alone in the suite's airy, sunlit interior. As the soft echo of her steps faded, Aria caught my hand, her fingers threading through mine. Her lips curved in a way that felt like an invitation meant just for me. "How about we check out our room?" Her voice was low, carrying a playful note that tugged at something deep within me.
I let her lead the way, the afternoon light spilling in through the expansive windows, illuminating every detail of the suite's understated elegance. When Aria opened the door to our bedroom, I was hit with pure awe. The entire space felt like it was made for moments like this—spacious and inviting, with rich textures and a plush bed that dominated the room. The open windows framed a view of the ocean, its quiet rhythm adding to the sense of calm that surrounded us.
Aria moved toward the bed, her steps unhurried as she skimmed her hand over the comforter testing its softness. A childlike wonder—the kind that always stopped me in my tracks—touched her features. "This is just..." she whispered, her voice trailing off.
