JUNGKOOK

I woke to the faint sound of waves outside the open window and the soft light of morning spilling into the room, wrapping around the quiet space Aria and I had made for ourselves. For a moment, I lay there, the haze of sleep clinging to me, teasing the idea that maybe yesterday hadn't been real.

Had it all been a dream?
It had to have been... right?

Because the kind of day we had yesterday, where everything happens all at once—where life changes in ways you can't fully comprehend—felt too monumental to be real.

Aria's birthday. Dinner with her father, who was much less intimidating than I'd feared. Her quiet, trembling words as she told me she was pregnant. My heart stopping, my mind racing, my voice catching as I'd blurted out my proposal to get married in Hawaii instead of waiting until we returned to Korea.

And then last night—God, last night.

I could still feel my woman on me, the intoxicating press of her body against mine, the way her nails dragged down my back, the way her hands gripped me like I was her lifeline, the way she moved against me, meeting me like she couldn't stand even an inch between us.

She had given herself to me in ways that went far beyond the physical. When her body moved with mine, it was her showing me, without words, how deeply we belonged to each other.  Every touch was an unspoken promise, a language only we shared, a meaning that couldn't be put into words. But what struck me the hardest was the way she looked at me, her eyes holding mine like I was her entire world.

It wasn't just sex.
It never was with her.

It was fire, ravaging and all-encompassing, leaving no part of me untouched. It was the way she trusted me with her body, her heart, her future, especially after everything we'd decided last night about our future together. That had only intensified the need, the raw, aching hunger to show her exactly how much she meant to me. To love her in a way that felt like worship, because that's what she deserved.

Her.
My Aria.
My soon-to-be wife.
My forever.

With Aria, love wasn't only spoken, it was demonstrated and also felt in the spaces between us. In her, I'd found something I didn't know I'd been searching for—something whole, something infinite.

Something I'd never felt before.

We had the kind of love that felt like it could withstand anything, and it had been tested time and time again... by circumstances, expectations, and forces that should have torn us apart. But instead of breaking, we'd only grown stronger, our connection deepening with every obstacle we faced. It wasn't perfect, but it was ours... built on trust, perseverance, and a love that refused to relent.

Now, as my senses sharpened, I realized yesterday hadn't been a dream at all.

It was real.
Every single moment.
