JUNGKOOK
Pregnant. Aria's pregnant.
The word echoed in my mind, refusing to settle, yet filling every corner of me at the same time. We were going to have a baby—a tiny piece of us, a whole new life our love had created.
Our own little family.
The thought was terrifying and exhilarating all at once, like stepping into the unknown yet knowing, somehow, it would be one of the most extraordinary things we'd ever do.
Now, there was one more thing I needed to say. One more step I couldn't wait any longer to take.
"Aria," I began softly, drawing her closer as the sound of the waves encircled us. Those exquisite emerald depths held me captive as I took a deep breath, trying to find the right words. "This place, this moment... it just... feels like it's all perfectly aligning, like everything that's happened was meant to lead us here. I can't help but wonder if there's even more waiting for us here than we realized."
Her brows furrowed slightly. "What are you saying?"
"I'm saying... maybe we don't have to wait until we're back in Korea. We could get married right here, in Hawaii, on the same day we originally planned." My voice was low but emphatic as the words began to come to me as naturally as breathing. "We've been through so much, and I don't want to waste another second waiting. This is our time, Aria. I want our baby to grow up knowing we didn't let anything hold us back. That we chose love, that we chose us, over and over again. So, instead of waiting for Jeju... let's do it here—something intimate, private, and uniquely ours.
Just the two of us, well... three... Taking the next step and starting out forever as a family. Day after tomorrow.
Her lips parted, her breath hitching as my words sank in. "Here? In Hawaii? Just us?"
I took her hands in mine, my thumbs brushing gently over her knuckles. "I mean, doesn't this place just feel... right? Free? Like it's meant to hold this moment for us?
The moonlight, combined with the tears glistening in her eyes, made them appear like pools of liquid jade, reflecting emotions too profound to put into words. She managed a nod and a soft laugh escaped her lips. "It does." Her tears spilled over as she continued, her voice trembling. "I didn't think this day... this trip... could get any better. But you—you always find a way to make everything better."
I pulled her into my arms, holding her tightly as the ocean breeze swept around us. "That's what you deserve, Aria. You deserve the absolute best."
"No, we deserve the best." Her hands slid up to cup my face, and when her lips met mine, it became a collision of love, need, and promises we'd held too tightly for too long. The kiss was explosive, her breath tangling with mine like she was trying to tell me all the things she couldn't say. The soft press of her lips, the tiny shift in her body against mine, all sparked something deeper—something primal, hungry, and desperate to pull her even closer.
