The vandalism incident was a setback, but only a minor one. BTS Fitness had only been shut down for a few days before it was back open for business. Unfortunately, even with the security footage, the police still had not been able to track down the culprits. Jungkook and I still had no idea whether the attack on the gym was random or personal, but it didn't matter. We refused to let that or anything else get us down.

We had decided to move forward and were choosing instead to focus on enjoying every moment, especially with all the positives happening in our lives. Not only had my ten weeks of summer break officially begun, but in less than three weeks, my man and I would be relaxing, sipping champagne, and making love on the beautiful Jeju Island.

We'd be celebrating my 35th birthday a few days after our arrival, and a few days after that, somewhere under an enchanting waterfall, we would become husband and wife. We were beyond ready to take that huge leap in our relationship, and we'd both agreed that we wanted to keep every aspect of our nuptials private, intimate, and authentic to who we both were.

I'd always dreamed about getting married one day, but I'd never been the kind of girl who desired a big, fairytale wedding. Although, growing up in a wealthy family, I assumed it was inevitable because everything my parents did was for show, but I never cared about my special day being extravagant or grandiose.

Now, with my newfound freedom, being able to do something simple and elegant meant the world to me. Jungkook and I were both far from traditional, even down to the way our love story began. So, as much as we both loved his mom, Lana, and the guys, we wanted to do things our way and take this sacred step with only the two of us.

We hadn't even shared the news of our recent engagement with anyone. I honestly don't even think Jungkook had planned to propose when he did. Everything just kinda came together unexpectedly on a Friday night a few weeks ago.

I'd had an insanely long week grading exams and preparing to close out the semester. We'd originally planned to have dinner at a new restaurant we'd both been dying to try and had already bought tickets to see a movie at Lotte Cinema, but I'd asked for a raincheck and opted for a quiet evening at home.

When I'd arrived home from work, what I'd expected was for Jungkook to be disappointed and that I'd have some making up to do, but what I'd found instead was one of the sweetest, most romantic gestures anyone had ever done for me. There were lavender sheets artfully draped across the middle of the living room, complete with fairy lights, cozy blankets, and comfy pillows.

My man had made the adult version of one of those cute little forts we all used to build when we were kids and had gone out of his way to make our evening in extra special. Dinner had already been delivered. He'd bought popcorn and all my favorite candies, transforming our living room into our own little movie theater where we snuggled up watching movies most of the evening. I couldn't have thought of a more perfect, relaxing end to my exhausting week.

"I know you were tired tonight, but do you think you'd be up for going ring shopping tomorrow?"

"Ring shopping? Well, I don't know. What kind of ring would you be buying, Mr. Jeon?" I teased, feigning ignorance.

"You know what kind of ring, woman." He broke away from our cuddling to sit up and face me with the most adorable smile on his face, taking both of my hands in his. "I mean, we've been together for a year and a half, and now that we've gotten over graduation, you meeting my mom, and building a business, things have slowed down enough to where we can finally focus on us. Plus, my bank account is looking a whole lot better these days, too." He laughed making me giggle too.
