Main Verse: Luke 18:27
Luke 18:27 ESV
[27] But he said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”

As we walk in our journey, there are times we experience extraordinary events. Some of us believe it is because of our good deeds, but are we sure this is about what we have done?  Miracles are very surprising and unbelievable scenarios. As a young believer, I know this will happen when we know Him, when you believe in His majesty powers. All of the things that surround us have their own purpose. The true miracle happens when it is God's will.

Walking alone is very dangerous. I see numerous darkness in my life that I don’t know I can live longer. I try to show who I am, but in long phases, I still receive negative results that lead me to question my existence.

When I was three years old, I always wanted to explore but my parents were always there for me. I am grateful because in my weak moments, they are the one who help me—they guide and support my actions.

Meanwhile, I become more lively and stubborn for my actions, still I have a kind heart. I always remember their commandments, no matter what happens. Until, years has passed I grow better and

learn from my mistakes. Yet, I became weak physically, I am now in my 50/50 life.

I am here in white place, where I can’t understand the equipment in my arm and in my mouth. I can’t breathe.

I see my mother with red eyes now because of lack of sleep and crying.

“Do you need something else, my daughter?”

“No mama, I am not hungry or thirsty. Wait, where am I now?” I asked confusedly.

“Are you sure? You’re not eaten yet since yesterday. We’re worried. You are brought here at Muntinlupa Hospital due to your dengue symptoms.

After my mom explained, I was vomiting.

She helps me and uses the small black basin. I don’t know where she gets it.

Hour has passed. I feel more weak right now, I don’t want to move, eat and drink. I just want to sleep and rest until I recover here.

I don't even understand what I feel anymore. I'm losing my appetite for everything because of the pain that has landed on me. I think it's severe dengue. A few more days passed. Mama always prays while I rest. I felt somehow at peace and hope.

One morning, I was thirsty.

“Mama?” I asked and tried to reach her using my right hand. My mama is always here to watch over and take care of me.

“Yes my daughter, I will bring you here some water and your soup. One moment, just wait here,” she said excitedly.

While she gets me some water and the soup she mentioned a while ago. I look at the cross beside me.

Even though I don't know if it works, I close my eyes and talk to Him.

Lord, I know you are true. I believe in your name Jesus, heal me and bring back my appetite. Thank you, Amen!

Then a couple of minutes later, my mama came back with a tray that held my water and hot soup.

She puts it on my side table and assists me to sit so that I can eat and drink.

I almost always eat and drink. My mama smiled at me.

“Finally, God heard my prayer. Go, my daughter, just finished your soup.”

I nodded and continued sipping the soup. Suddenly my short prayer came to my mind.

He didn't disappoint me either. I still have a reason to live.

My strength is back. I am very thankful to God because he healed me. I thought my days were near, but it was not my time yet. I still have a lot to do and experience.

I spent almost a week in the hospital, thank God, even though I lost a lot of weight. I can go back to our house, I still haven't stopped praying and have followed mom's instructions.

I finally recovered. He healed me. (Luke 8:50). After all the medicine and laying on my soft bed in my room, I am now here and breathing. This is the time when I was in my elementary days, when severe dengue attacked me.

From that experience of life and death, I realized that if you are sincere and know God is with you, He will be with you until the end. (Mark 9:23)

Life is full of challenges, but our powerful weapon is our faith and prayer.

Another story that I want to bring up is when we are in our province taking our vacation. We go to the beach, but I don’t know how to swim.Yet, I want to have fun and try something new. I dive and go to a high level with myself.

I try to look around and breathe even though I can't since I am underwater. I try to swim using the feet I have but I can’t do it.

I was fighting in the water, but I was being pushed away and couldn't get out.

“H-help!” I shouted.

No one could hear at that time, my heartbeat was getting stronger and I was getting more and more nervous. I tried to go up and scream, but the water pulled me down. I couldn't see them anymore, I was even more afraid so I closed my eyes and in my mind I prayed and asked the Lord for help.

Later, a strong force rose up over me. "You really did, you almost died!" I heard a big voice from behind me.

My Uncle Jelo helped me to get up. Even though I am almost gasping for breath, I am grateful because someone saved me.

“Be careful next time!”

“Yes, uncle! Thank you and sorry.”

I am a little bit shy, but I am glad for thinking God always heard me. His words are true. (Luke 1:37).

We go home safe, I am now in my high school days, looking forward to amazing and fantastic adventures.

Somehow, I realized time is really fast. This is the second time in my life. Still going, breathing and hoping.

A life that I experienced twice is a miracle. A great miracle coming from the above.
