Chapter 10: Acceptance of Everything
Music: Wholehearted by We Are Messengers

Main Verse:1 John 1:9 ESV
[9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Acceptance is a crucial thing to do, especially when someone hurts you. It takes time to heal and understand the pain that causes you. But love always in, if you want changes, you are willing to forgive through God’s grace. Acceptance for everything is necessary if you want peace and freedom. Take it or leave it, but for you, are you already accepting everything in your life? How was it?

The always answers are: It was hard, no I can do that. Maybe at the right time.

In my long journey, I see a lot of things that test my personality. In my twenty-four years, I also failed, accepting something isn’t easy, sometimes I need to accept all the bad things. You’re taking something or someone—not just good but it should balance with bad. When I don’t know Jesus yet, I don’t accept anything in my surroundings, most of the time I want proof or something that makes me interested. And I found myself, not enough and finding more. Then, when Jesus is in me. When I fully trust and surrender my life to Him, I accept everything and the great blessings. The Salvation.

What is Salvation? It means you declared you are now free, accepted, saved and transformed life.

Do you know the connection of salvation to acceptance? Simple, all of us need to accept salvation once we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior in our lives. This is the key to know Him more, like what said to John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. This is one of the famous verses in the bible, after believing, acceptance should be the next. Romans 15:7: Therefore, accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God.

I want to tell you something, before when I am unbeliever. Accepting is hard for me, I always end up rejecting or much better I want more of it for something that you say or do in your life. From that, I realized that I make my life so uneasy. I always choose the best among the best. It leads to bad results, like I always end up losing my own skills. Now, I learn to communicate, listen and allow them to speak what they have.

Acceptance also has to start with ourselves. It is difficult, but it is a process that will teach us to know ourselves, our loved ones and above all the Glory of God. The purpose of this, we make us more likely to have a positive self-esteem and self worth. But when we are in Jesus, you are accepting and loving others.

Don't be in a hurry, if it's not possible to accept first. It will also help to tell God our concerns, fears and doubts in our lives.

Now, let’s be more specific and understand the importance of acceptance to the Bible.According to my research from a blog of wisdomonline.org, it is an act of love and grace to  mirror God’s and acceptance through Jesus Christ.  We can see here that love and grace are always combined to have acceptance in our lives.

We know that we are sinners, but God loves us and is willing to accept whatever what or who we are. So when we accept the truth and salvation that comes from Christ, we can understand all the events in our lives.

Know that God graciously accepts us (Ephesians 1:6, Romans 5:8).

How can we know that God already accepted us? He is a loving God, He accept us not just actions but when we already surrender our life to Him and the faith that we need to keep the fire.

I want to highlight the 4A’s.

ACKNOWLEDGE- Be aware for your words and actions, you must acknowledge everything to be clear.

ALLOW- Whatever happens, let it be. Observe and understand, follow if needed but don’t take all those things that make you unacceptable.

ACCOMMODATE- Learn to show the need and provide the right actions. Be good and stay humble.

APPRECIATE- Every little thing, be thankful. Whether it is big or not. All things happen for a reason and it has a purpose for you.

These 4A’s reminded us that acceptance can do with a process and focus on Jesus and pray, so that we can achieve and do it with all our hearts.

I will add some strategies that can help us.

Five Strategies on How we can deal the Acceptance for Everything:

1.STAND YOUR COLOR- It’s okay to be normal and stand firm for who you are, but always control your emotions.

2.KNOW THE SITUATION- A lot of things are easy to know when you are aware, but without knowing the story you can deny it immediately.

3. GIVE THOUGHTFUL UNDESTANDING- Analyze the situation, take some research if it’s needed. Don’t forget to ask if you don’t know.

4. DON’T JUDGE OTHERS EASILY- All of us created with a purpose, unique and only one. Let’s be wide thinkers, know the history, be part of their story.

5.CENTER JESUS IN YOUR LIFE- As we walk on our journey, open our eyes with His goodness. Accept the blessings and struggles, surrender and accept Him as your Lord and Savior.

These strategies are not necessary, but if we tried we can ACCEPT EVERYTHING.  Dear, you are near, just take it and allow yourself to be there. God is always waiting for you.

Acceptance is a really broad discussion, it talks about your emotions, mental health, behavioural effectiveness and your spiritual life. Even though it tackles a lot of areas in every individual, in the end, Christ is the center of all.
