Music: Holy Spirit, You are Welcome  by  Elevation

Main Verse:  2 Corinthians 3:17 ESV
[17] Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

I

t is the third persona of Trinity. No gender identity— no literal sex, but living and guiding those who are with Him. The Holy Spirit empowers all the followers of Jesus Christ with spiritual gifts. Brings conviction of faith, teaches (John 14:26), speaks (Acts 13:2), gives spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12:11), and intercedes for us (Romans 8:26).

The Holy Spirit symbolises mystery and abiding the presents of God. In the Bible, it has many symbolises that higlight truth regarding mission and nature. Generally, it represents the symbol of:  dove, fire, oil, wind, and water.

The Holy Spirit is with us wherever we are. How can it be? We will receive the Holy Spirit when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior in our lives. He is the only way.

When we receive the Holy Spirit, we can be more sure to do God's will. We will feel it when we seek Him more, we know how to obey and we are aware of what we are doing and His presence.

But how can we feel the Holy Spirit? Is he human? Can it be seen and touched? He is the spirit of truth and power. We can't see and touch the Holy Spirit, but we can feel it by meditating and having a sincere prayer with the Lord.

It is important that we know and want to experience the Holy Spirit. Not because he is part of the 3 Trinity (Father God, Jesus Christ, the Son and Holy Spirit). But this will give us the courage to continue in life and know God more fully. Through prayer, we can talk to Him more and in His word we also grow.

The Holy Spirit tells us what to do and corrects us whenever we are taking a wrong path.

There are seven  (7) gifts of Holy Spirit

The Gift of Wisdom- It taught us what is right and wrong and understand our situation. Provide answers to our problems, we give a wise decision and good choice of actions  with the help of our God.

The Gift of Understanding- We grow through our prayer, reading and meditating His words, attending fellowship and preaching of our Pastors.

The Gift of Counsel- We become aware and have thoughtful advice. Also we become God-fearing, allowing us to understand the circumstances.

The Gift of Fortitude- As a believer, we already have to stand on our beliefs, hold and take actions to our promises. Trust only to Jesus.

The Gift of Knowledge- We always ask God what we need to do— rely on Him and willing to know Him more. Having the ability to explore who He is and recognize mysteries and goodness of God.

The Gift of Piety- It shows more of respect, principally honouring God with all of his/her life.

Gift of God-fearing- We are more aware of His majesty, worship only God and being kind to others as He is righteous. In other words, we are nothing without Him.

These seven ( 7) gifts of the Holy Spirit are reminding us that we need it in our lives. As Christian, it develops our relationship to make us bolder and stronger with the Lord.

If we don’t know how to use the gifts of God, pray and ask guidance and the Holy Spirit will reveal the answer for you.

Moreover, it helps us to have self-discipline, love and power comes from the Lord. All of it will shine in our lives, and it will naturally reflect on our decisions and actions in our lives.

The role of the Holy Spirit is to control us, the believer who yields to God and always submit ourselves to the Lord.

Being a humankind, sin can be seen everywhere, if we want more Jesus in our lives and changes we must receive and allow the Holy Spirit. Aside from that, the Holy Spirit serves God’s divine Administrator on earth to take charge of all christians. To understand life with Jesus and desire good things.

Do you know the job of the Holy Spirit? The job of the Holy Spirit is to teach who is Jesus, reveal the goodness of the Lord, teach and guide the believers. He fulfils the various roles and functions as well.

As we continue walking in this world, many struggles are always revealed and become part of our lives. The Holy Spirit is always there to help us. We are not alone, God gave His Holy Spirit to be with us.

There are three (3) forms of Holy Spirit to our lives:

1.Divine Dependency- Life is full of challenges and no matter what happens, we depend on the Lord and we need Him.

Scripture says; Psalm 62:5 (ESV)
For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him.

2.Dramatic Dealings-Everyday is a battle war inside of us, we have a lot of desires, plans and things to accomplish. Somehow, God approves the best. Dramatic dealings refer to “crisis” because God knows what is best and allows events in our lives. Yet, He has a purpose for that, we can see not now but soon. Instead, trust God in everything.

Scripture says; Ephesians 4:31-32 (ESV)
Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. [32] Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

3. Daily Discipline- We must know being Christianity isn’t easy, but it makes us the best version of ourselves. We see that many changes still our relationship with the Lord becomes stronger.

Scripture says; Hebrews 12:11 (ESV)
For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.

So dear, allow the Holy Spirit your life,  but accept Jesus Christ as your only Lord and Savior and everything will be under His control.
