Chapter 8: Great Weapon
Music: Don't Stop Praying by Matthew West

Main Verse: Jeremiah 29:12 ESV
[12] Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will hear you.

All of us have our own ways how we handle our blessings, and how we fight our battles.

We have different capabilities and understanding, how we can be strong to face everything. But, let's admit that there are times that we can't show our strengths. We are a person who experienced weakness and tiredness, that needs a strength from above. We can't hold on, let's open our arms and speak with the truth that we need help.

I want to share my journey as a Christian, as I found God's love. I always talk to Him through prayer, to all the frustrations and pressure of the life given to me, He was my refuge. Whenever I stumble, He supports me. I always admit that I am weak. And His hands are always there to carry me and remind me through His words from book of John 14:13-14 "My daughter, I am here to just believe and you will receive whatever you ask in prayer."

Prayer makes me a warrior and not a worrier anymore. Prayer gives me positive thoughts and encourages me to go on. Prayer is the best weapon to us, as a Christian. But not all prayers happen at a time that we ask, some of them wait or no. Still, I always hold to His promises. I believe prayers have a right time and need to continue what you always say to Him.

One night, I was sitting on my couch. I can't sleep because of my Insomnia and thinking about random things that happened to my life right now. I am always worried about my future, especially nowadays I don't have a stable job because I choose to rest after being sick. But then, I made a small curve to my lips, I felt safe and realized that God never abandons me.

Even though I often think about something, He is still there to give me what I need-my great provider. I have recovered from my illness, I just thought that there is a reason for everything that happens to me. Not easy, always painful and difficult. But this is just proof that He is always watching me and working great in our lives.

I sighed, closed my eyes and prayed fervently.

Lord, I know you will not leave me. Thank you for loving and healing me. Forgive me if I fall short, but you are there to build me up and fill me up every day. You really are the best! You know everything, so may you always lead me and strengthen me, give me wisdom and do your will. Always reign in my life and protect the ones I love in my life. Please remove the trouble from my mind, thank you very much. Amen!

After a few minutes of prayer. I felt the wet liquid running down both of my cheeks. I feel tears of joy, because why am I doubting everything? I have trust in Him and I also have faith. I went straight to bed, feeling sleepy so I rested.

Prayer does something different, everything becomes impossible. There are things that I thought would be enough, but there are things that are even better. I don't need to worry and be afraid.
(Philippians 4:6-7)

I have a weapon that can destroy everything, a weapon that I can fight against all the evils of the world- prayer.

Even when forgetting, choosing other things, He is still there and reminds me "My princess, I am here. Talk to me, I miss you. I will always be with you and take care of you."

This also serves as our communication with Him to get deeper and more stable in life.

Have you ever asked why it is necessary to pray? What will it bring us? Before, I thought it was only necessary to bless you. But as time went on, I understood the answer to my questions better. To questions that I thought had no answers.

We need to pray, so that we are stronger not only spiritually, but in every area of our lives we know what to do. Above all, we will choose to live and know God.

Its effects on the life of a Christian are:

1) We know better what is right and avoid what is wrong.
2) Prayer changes things.
3) We have peace.
4) Prayer inspires hope.
5) Prayer answers our goals and dreams.
6) Forgiveness of sins.
7) Prayers give more blessings.
8) Prayers bring us closer to God.

Prayer can and does everything. We just need to approach God and continue to complain to Him about all our problems.

I still remember that we had nothing, but even though life was difficult. He uses people to bless us, and give us more hope. So I tried hard and always talked to Him.

So to my fellow Christians, let's just stick to our beliefs. Let us value our weapons- prayer. Let's not remove it, even forget it, but we will return and humble ourselves to Him.

Prayer can change lives. This is also a reason for us to get to know ourselves better and choose to dedicate our lives to God. Prayer is the key to our growth. Just don't give up, and always come to Him.

Do we know the power of prayer? Prayer will make us understand many things. It is also one of the reasons for us to accept that God has a good plan for our lives. (Jeremiah 29:11)

A life that is authentic, abundant and free.

That's why it's important for us to be prayerful people, so that we can thank and praise God more.

Prayer is the best weapon, dear. Prayer will save you to anything, prayer will put you in His presence.

Dear, remember that Prayer is our ultimate communication with God.
