Chapter 30: Safe with You
Music: Then, Now, Always by Victory, Alabang Music

Main Verse: 2 Thessalonians 3:3 ESV
[3] But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.

Everyday, life is always a battle of many things with lies, pain and hardships. If you don't know where you're going, you'll get lost. You'll always stumble and end up in a situation where you'll always lose. However, bad things do not always happen if you know where and who to call.

There is only one person we should call and come first. He is always ready to help and save us from any trouble. None other than Jesus, because in Him there is salvation, peace and truth.

As time passed, I realized that I am already free. I was far from a situation that I knew I should never return to. I was already saved by God's grace and love. I found peace in Him. Happiness is not found in any material things or in any other person. Because, since I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, many things have changed that have helped to grow my personality and my life as well.

There is no lie when you are already in light. You are always cared for, defended, supported, loved and secure with Him. He became my only bestfriend after all.

I remember before that I didn't like being involved in any matter of my life because I felt fear and worry at the same time. I am an introvert, so I only trust myself. But later on, when I already knew Jesus, He became my savior and the one who hears all of my worries, rants and thanksgiving.

Many things I wanted to do, like reading and meditating His words, praying, worship and I am trusting people that I know God is the center of their lives.

I have been through many difficulties and heavy burdens, but I am calm and have peace in my heart.

It is really different when there is the Lord in your life, even though there are many problems, you can overcome them every day.

So let us not give up on what we have in God. Let us always seek Him and find Him. He is our refuge and one and only Lord and Savior. He will never leave us or forsake us. He is a faithful and loveable God. Let's always reach Him and keep the fire of our faith in Him.

I wanna share this scripture from the book of Psalm.

Psalm 18:2 (ESV) [2] The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.[3] I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.

This verse is reminding us that our Lord knows everything and when we called Him. He is there and helps us. If we get in trouble, He will save us. Like the story of David, he was saved from death by the hands of Saul. He will not abandon us, instead He is the one who will prove His promises to us.

There are seven (7) reasons why we need to trust God;

1.Trusting Him, because He will save you from any harmful situations.

2.Trusting Him, because He will provide all our needs.

3. Trusting Him, because He can heal you.

4.Trusting Him, because He is the reason for your life.

5. Trusting Him, because He is the God of truth.

6. Trusting Him, because He has the best future for you.

7. Trusting Him, because He loves you even if you are not deserving.

These seven reasons explain our safety. There are more reasons why but I know in our heart, all we need is to believe and trust Him.

Some verses that highlight safety:

Psalm 4:8 ESV
[8] In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

2 Timothy 4:18 ESV
[18] The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

Proverbs 18:10 ESV
[10] The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.

Proverbs 29:25 ESV
[25] The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.

Psalm 118:8 ESV
[8] It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.

Dear, these verses are reminding us that God is great and you are safe in Him.

Let us hold and always trust Him, He is with us and all the time His protection is always there.

Before anything else, I want you to be with me for this short prayer.

Dear Lord, thank you for your love. I am sorry if I forgot you sometimes or often worried. Forgive me. But now, I know you are with me. Take care of my life and my loved one's. I trust you now and forever. Thank you for everything. I love you. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen!

Dwell in His word, stay and meditate His word. All of these things are for you.
