Isha woke up to find herself on the couch. She yawned and tried to move but stopped, feeling a light cramp and a heavy arm resting on her stomach.
"You're awake?" She looked to her side to see Rudransh kneeling beside her. Realization dawned upon her, and her head snapped down to her stomach. Her cheeks dusted red, and she nodded, gently trying to remove his hand from her stomach, but he didn't budge.
"Doesn't it hurt when I remove my hand?" he asked, his head tilted in curiosity. Isha looked at him, wide-eyed, for a moment but then shook her head.
"N-no, it doesn't." She wasn't lying, though; this was the first time her cramps had lessened, not gone entirely but enough to notice the difference. Rudransh nodded and, though reluctantly, removed his hand.
"Here," he said, pointing to three plates set nearby. The aroma of the food entered her nose and she gulped, but didn't deny the food. She sat up properly and was about to stand when he moved, bringing the plates over to the table near her.
She glanced up at him, surprised he knew her favorites, but she didn't dwell on it. She took a plate onto her lap, took a bite, and sighed in satisfaction at the spicy taste, nodding approvingly.
Rudransh's lips curved up slightly at her small gesture, and he stood up. His phone rang, and he answered while walking toward the floor-to-ceiling glass wall.
As he spoke, he saw her finishing a plate, and he moved toward her, bending down to wipe a small stain from her cheek and gently pushing her hair back. Isha looked up at him with wide eyes, her heart beating faster as he maintained eye contact.
"Hold on for a minute," he ordered the person on the phone, then poured her a glass of water and placed it beside her. Gathering her hair in his hand, he held it carefully.
"Now eat."
"I- I can tie it," Isha tried to protest, but his one firm look silenced her, and she picked up the other plate and continued eating.
"Do you have a hair tie?" he asked. She shook her head. Her hair had been loose when she arrived, and Ishaan hadn't brought her anything, so her refusal was silly. Her hair had grown longer, and the front portions kept getting in her way.
Rudransh held her hair in one hand while using the other to continue his call.
When she finished her meal, he released her hair, which fell back onto her shoulders, a few strands grazing her face.
"We're going to Mumbai in three days," he announced suddenly, startling her.
"Suddenly?" She watched as he put on his coat, then walked over and bent down to her level.
"Your college," he said simply, then picked her up, making her gasp. Isha grabbed his shoulder for support and looked at him, wide-eyed.
"It's okay; I can walk," she insisted, but a sudden cramp made her wince. Rudransh gave her a look that said, Sure, but I'm still not letting you walk, and carried her toward the door.

Rudransh carefully set her down in the back seat, and she clung to him with her eyes tightly closed, conscious of the employees' stares. He closed the door, then walked around to the other side and got into the car.
