The door of the car was opened, and Isha settled into the backseat. Rudransh bent down a little, lifting her lehenga and gently placing it inside the car. The group of youngsters behind them hooted, but he had something important to focus on, so he didn't spare them a glance.
Going around the car, he settled inside, his man having opened the door for him. He sat beside Isha—his wife. His eyes drifted toward her, knowing exactly what she was still thinking about. Vittorio had called earlier, informing him that he'd be busy as Ishaan seemed to be spending more time with his parents.
Rudransh's hand reached for the switch, and he turned it on, raising the divider between the driver and them. He had no problem showing affection for his wife in front of anyone, but he knew she would be paralyzed with shyness if he did.
Isha looked at the divider with curious eyes. Rudransh held her hand, gently pulling her onto his lap. Her wide eyes stared at him in shock, but she quickly averted her gaze.
"Eyes on me, tesoro," he whispered into her ear, keeping his intense gaze fixed on her. He loved the way she reacted to his touch. His hand slid to her waist, drawing circles there. Isha shivered at the sensation and gulped.
"Don't stress over matters your husband can handle. Focus on me, because this is our day," he whispered softly into her ear. Her eyes fluttered shut at the intensity of his words, and she felt his hand on her cheek, turning her face toward him.
"Look at me, please," his voice was seductive, and Isha couldn't help but open her eyes. Her breath hitched as she saw the whirlwind of emotions in his eyes. The way he looked at her made her want to run away, yet she also wanted to stay close to him.
"Keep your eyes on me." He leaned in and placed a slow kiss on her cheek. Isha had no choice but to keep her gaze locked on him. His dark eyes felt like they were drawing her in.
His face slowly inched closer, with her still sitting on his lap, his hand securely holding her in place. His gaze fell on her lips, and he licked his own, wetting them. He had waited patiently for the wedding, but this was the moment where his patience ended.
His lips gently settled on her eyes. Isha's eyes instantly closed, and her hand clenched his sherwani tightly. Her breathing grew quicker, and his lips traced along her eyes, then her nose. Their breaths mingled, and for a moment, Isha forgot everything happening around her. Her grip on his cuff tightened to the point where her knuckles turned white.
He pulled her even closer, his body feeling like it was on fire with her so near. He wanted nothing more than to press his lips against hers again, and so he did. His lips captured hers, firm and insistent. Isha's other hand moved to his chest, clutching the fabric even tighter.
His body felt electrified, his hand tightening around her waist as his lips pressed harder against hers. He tilted his head slightly, deepening the kiss. Isha's breath had been held for so long that she backed off a little to catch it.
Rudransh's breath was ragged, his control slipping with every passing second. Isha's soft whisper of his name—"Rudra"—was the last tether to his restraint, but it snapped in an instant. His gaze darkened, filled with a deep, possessive intensity, and before she could even catch her breath, his lips crashed against hers once more, this time harder, hungrier.
His hand around her waist tightened, drawing her even closer as if he couldn't bear to have even an inch of space between them. The softness of her lips against his ignited a fire inside him that he had been holding back for far too long. He groaned lowly into the kiss, his fingers tracing the curve of her spine as if memorizing every inch of her.
