The sunlight filtered through the sheer curtains, bathing the room in a soft golden hue. Rudransh lay awake, his arms wrapped protectively around her, his gaze fixed on her serene face as she slept.
Her hair was slightly tousled, her features relaxed, and a faint blush lingered on her cheeks. She looked so delicate that it made him cradle her carefully against himself. The rhythmic rise and fall of her chest reminded him that she was here, in his arms, close to him.
His fingers traced light, invisible patterns along her bare shoulder, careful not to disturb her rest. His dark eyes followed her every feature with such care, as though he didn't want to miss a single inch of her.
For years, Rudransh had believed himself untouchable, closed off from the vulnerability of any human emotion. He was devoid of anger, jealousy, hatred or love. He had simply respected his parents and grandparents the most and taken responsibility for his sister. Beyond that, he couldn't recall feeling anything deeply.
But the first time he saw her, he had felt peace ,a profound calm that he hadn't known he was searching for. That was the reason he had been drawn to her. People usually fall for someone when they meet them, but he had fallen in love with her when she was only a thought in his mind. Now, having her in his arms, he realized just how far he had come.
He nudged his nose into her ruffled hair, breathing in her scent. He could feel the soft rise and fall of her bare chest against his, a quiet rhythm that soothed him. His fingers traced gently over her soft cheek as he leaned over her, lightly hovering above, with one arm resting protectively under her head.
His touch lingered, and he slowly traced his finger down her neck to her collarbone, his movements tender and reverent. A profound sense of completeness filled his very being. He belonged to her as much as she did to him.
"It's crazy..." he murmured, nuzzling his nose into her hair again. "How I can feel like nothing and everything in her embrace." He closed his eyes, cherishing the moment.
Isha shifted slightly, frowning as she felt a weight on her. She tried to move, but Rudransh noticed her expression and leaned closer to her face. Seeing her attempt to wriggle free, he pressed himself more firmly against her.
Isha's eyes fluttered open, her pupils adjusting as she saw his face so close to hers. Her eyes widened briefly before returning to normal, the memories of the previous night flooding back and painting her cheeks a deep red. She shyly lowered her gaze, only to lift it again when she realized their naked bodies were still pressed against each other.
"Why are you still in bed?" she asked, looking away with a slight pout.
"Where else am I supposed to go?" he replied, tightening his grip on her.
"I thought you might be..." She trailed off, shutting her mouth as her cheeks grew warmer.
"I might be gone? Leaving my wife here, in this condition?" he asked, his keen eyes fixed on her face, drinking in every shade of her blush.
Her eyes widened in shock, and she looked at him as though he had just said the most unbelievable thing. "How can you..." She couldn't finish her sentence as he kissed her lips, silencing her words.
When he pulled back, she stared at him in disbelief. "What?" He asked, his voice tinged with astonishment, as if he hadn't just done something
Isha's lips parted as though she wanted to say something, but no words came out. Instead, she looked down, the heat rising in her cheeks. Her hands clutched the sheets tightly around them, trying to muster a sense of composure that seemed impossible under his unwavering stare.
