They got off the plane and walked through the airport towards their car. Once inside, Isha looked at Rudransh hesitantly and gulped. For a moment, she observed him—his sharp jaw, his prominent nose, and his brown eyes so dark she had to look closely to see the brown shade in them. Her gaze trailed to his neck, where his Adam's apple bobbed up and down as he gulped. His face was calm, his breathing steady and composed.

Rudransh felt her gaze and turned to her. "What's wrong?"

Startled, she quickly looked away. "Th-that... I w... sorry," she stammered, looking down in embarrassment.

She took a breath before speaking again. "Can we go to my and Ishaan's apartment?"

Rudransh stared at her for a moment, taking in her slightly flushed cheeks and her face turned away in an attempt to hide her nervousness. She looked hesitant, almost unsure about asking.

"Okay," and who was he to say no.

She looked at him suddenly, surprised by his instant response. Flustered, she nodded quickly. "Y-yes, okay, thank you."

The rest of the ride passed peacefully. When the car stopped in front of the apartment, Isha stared at the building. Bad memories flowed through her mind, but she shook her head, trying to push them away.

The door on her side opened, and Rudransh extended his hand to her. She took it, his presence filling her with reassurance. With him here, there was no need to be scared.

Inside the apartment, Ishaan jumped onto the couch and sighed tiredly. "I thought someone else would have been given this apartment. Not like I'll live here any longer. Let's grab our stuff and get out of here." He shuddered, clearly remembering his last unpleasant memory of this place.

Isha shook her head and walked toward the kitchen. The space was clean, and many things had been removed, but she noticed the water filter was on, and the fridge held a few vegetables and other items. Frowning in confusion, she checked the dates on the packets. They were all freshly packed.

A small sound of realization escaped her. Of course, Rudransh must have arranged for someone to take care of this.

She returned to the living room, carrying water and a plate of biscuits. Vittoro stepped forward and attempted to grab the plate. "Rani sa, let me". Isha shook her head politely denying him and  placed the tray on the table. Looking at him, she smiled a little. "Thank you," she said softly.

She glanced at Rudransh, who was sitting on the couch watching her, before moving to sit beside Ishaan, nudging his leg sideways. The room was already set; they didn't have much to do. Most of their important belongings had already been packed for their departure the next day. With little else to worry about, they headed to their rooms to rest.

Two rooms were available, and each couple took one.

Isha sat on the bed, engrossed in her book, which was near its end. Rudransh was taking a bath, so she kept herself occupied. The sound of the bathroom door opening drew her attention, and she looked up, her eyes widening instantly before she looked down, her cheeks flushing a deep red. The warmth spread down her neck and to her ears. Her grip on the book tightened, and she bit her lips nervously.

Rudransh stood there, a towel slung low around his waist, his upper torso bare. His well-defined abs and strong chest glistened with droplets of water that continued to slide down from his wet hair. He lingered in place for a moment, watching her, before taking slow steps toward the bed.
