Percy
"Ok, so um, I guess if you offer me to join the hunt I don't wish to die anymore..." I trailed off.
"Thalia, come," Artemis called. Thalia came out of a room, and before she could see my broken form I transformed into a wolf.
"Yes, malady?" Thalia asked. I paced around the room near Hestia. Hestia patted my head.
"We have a new man joining the hunt." Artemis declared.
"Who? And you mean girl, not man." Thalia asked, interested.
Artemis looked uneasy. "The wolf- his name is-"
I cut her off quickly. Thalia might hate me if she knew I was Percy Jackson. "Pepperjack." I said quickly.
"Pepperjack?" She asked. "Odd name, no offense."
Of course I didn't take any, it's not my real name. "None taken," I reply.
Thalia looked at Artemis, appalled. "The wolf is a man?"
"Yes, lieutenant," Artemis replied.
Thalia glared at me and Artemis. Then she stomped out of the room. As soon as the door closed behind her, I transformed back.
Artemis glared at me. "What was that-"
"She might hate me if she knew I was Percy Jackson." I said defensively.
Artemis put on a sympathetic face. "Ok. You may keep your identity safe-"
"Son..." Poseidon said, finally.
"I'm no son of yours, sea god." I snap. "You said it yourself." I felt tears stinging my eyes, but I knew I shouldn't cry over him. He might not have known, but I missed him.
"Percy, you may never believe me or know this, but I do declare. You are my favorite son, and in fact, I declare, you as my heir." Poseidon said.
I shook my head. "Nothing you can say will change this."
"Percy," Apollo, Artemis, Hestia, and Hera said all at once. "Be my champion."
"Um..." It was such a noble thing. I felt like a noble hero. "I will be your champion, your heroes. I will fight for all of you."
"Percy," Poseidon said. "I give you my blessing."
I gave him a death glare, but it was too late. A sea greenish glow took me. And a triton appeared over my head.
"What have you done?!" I screamed at him.
"Son," Poseidon said.
"COUNCIL DISMISSED!" Zeus yelled.
Hades looked stunned. I crumbled to my knees, hating my father. A few gods morphed back into their palaces, including my father, but Apollo came running to me. He handed me 3 chunks of ambrosia and a bottle of nectar.
"Eat it!" He said frantically, and I ate all 3 chunks at once. "Now drink a little!"
I took a few small sips, knowing too much could kill me.
"You're already looking much better." Apollo said. "Take off your shirt really quick."
I shrug. I had ugly scars, which might embarrass me, but hey... I yanked off Aphrodite's jacket and then shirt. Apollo looked baffled. My scars were ugly, all over my back. Some of them were bleeding.
