Carter's p.o.v
It's been a really long month. Today, Casey finally comes home. I have been waiting for this for a long time.
"You finally get to go home, baby boy." I said kissing Casey's little face as Bradley dressed him.
"Casey gets to go home!" Mason smiled. We dressed Casey up in a little blue onesie.
Paris is getting so much bigger now, and she grabbed Casey's hand. I smiled.
Me and Bradley signed some papers, and they let us Casey take home. Everyone is at our house waiting for us to come home.
It's really exciting and I am so glad that Casey is gonna be home. My little baby is such a fighter.
I carefully put Casey in his baby carrier, and buckled him up. "I'll go put the car in front." Brad said leaving.
Lily and Kenyon followed behind him. Kenyon was holding Paris in his hands.
Madison was holding my purse, and we walked out. "My baby finally gets to go home." I said smiling.
We said our goodbyes to all the nurses. They have all been so sweet to us.
We got in the car and headed home. Casey was holding my finger, and I kissed his forehead. "You're going home."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's been a couple of days since Casey has been home, and he's such an angel.
He hardly cries at night. Today, Kylie (Jenner) is coming to visit him.
Even though me and Kendall don't get along, I still get along with Kylie, who was my best friend at one point.
She walked in, and saw Paris crawling. She picked Paris up, kissing her forehead.
"Hey baby!" She said to Paris. I smiled as I made my way over to her.
I wrapped my arms around her, embracing her. "How have you been?" I asked her.
"Great, actually. You?" She asked as we sat down. "Same." I said as I took Casey out of his swing.
"Oh my goodness, Casey!" Kylie said as I handed Casey to her. She kissed his forehead.
"That's aunty Kyky, Casey." I said. Casey just looked up at her, in curiosity.
"He is so adorable." She said holding him tight. "He sure is." I smiled. Kylie didn't stay for long, as she does have her own things to do.
Madison took care of Casey and Paris for a little while. Mason went out to play football.
Bradley was watching tv, and Lily was in her room working on something's.
Now having 5 kids is really stressing me out, and I don't know what to do.
I need to be the best mom that I can, but it's really hard when I have 5 kids.
It really is crazy, and Casey being a few months old, is even more stressing.
"I'm gonna go visit Carol." I said to Bradley. "I'll watch the kiddies." He said before pressing his lips onto mine.
I got my car keys and drove to the orphanage. Carol still works there, and loves every minute of it.
This is her life, her everything. When I got there, I parked in front. I didn't see Carol's car.
Maybe she parked in the back of the building. She sometimes does that when she's feeling lazy.
I laughed to myself, as I walked in. She wasn't in her office. "How can I help you?" A young woman asked me.
"I'm looking for Carol." I answered. The lady's face dropped, and she looked down.
"You're Carter right?" She asked. I nodded, and she handed me a letter. "Carol passed away two days ago. She left you this."
My heart stopped, and it felt like my head was spinning in circles. Carol is... Dead?
It can't be. I was paralyzed in shock. "Carol can't be dead.. No, please tell me you're kidding." I said.
"I'm afraid not, sweetie. I'm so sorry." She said hugging me, and that's when I broke.
I broke in the lady's arms, sobbing. Carol can't be gone, she can't be. "You need to calm down, here sit over here." The lady told me.
She lead me to a little bench, and I sat down. I didn't say anything, I just sat there, trying to soak everything in.
Carol is dead... She died. I was sobbing like crazy at this point. "Do you need some water?" The lady asked me.
I nodded, and she got up, bringing back a glass of water. My heart is completely shattered.
Carol can't be dead. After a few minutes of sitting there, the lady called Bradley to pick me up, since I was in no condition to drive.
Not much was said during the car drive. I didn't want to talk to anyone. I just wanted to know Carol was really fine, and this is just some dumb prank.
When I got home, I went straight to the guest room, locking myself in there so I didn't have to see anyone.
I laid in the bed for hours, crying and trying to convince myself that she was still alive.
Bradley and the kids tried to knock on the door, and come in, but I didn't want to talk to anyone at this point.
I just couldn't face anyone right now. Carol can't be dead, she can't be. She simply can't be.
A few days passed, and it was time for the funeral. I said a few words, and broke.
I pushed myself to finish my little speech. The burial was the hardest part.
I won't be seeing Carol anymore. She won't be able to give me advice anymore.
My heart simply aches. Lily and Bradley did their best to take care of the kids, since I was in no state to do so.
Especially since Casey is still very small. I just wanted to disappear from earth.
I really did, until I realized that I had 5 kids who need me, and who I needed to be strong for.
They need to see their momma be as strong as she can, and that's when determination kicked in.
I am determined to push through and get through this. Not for me, but for my 5 kids and my husband who need me more than ever.
