Carter's p.o.v

It's been a couple of days and I have been a little more calm. Jack (Gilinsky) and Kylie are engaged and expecting a baby and nothing makes me happier.

I love Kylie so much. She's always been there for me, and I don't know what I'd do without her.

We have our ups and downs, but that's my baby. She's been there since day 1. I am so blessed to have her.

Today, Selena is coming over to hang out with me. Sam is with Kylie and the kids are at their dads'.

"Party is here!" Selena yelled. I ran to the front of the house, and hugged her. "SELLY!" I yelled.

"C BABY!" She yelled back. We sat down and ate lunch. "Oh my god, Carter! Do you remember when you were pregnant and we went out, and the waiter was trying to hit on you, so I acted like your lesbian lover?" Selena laughed.

"Oh my god! Yes!" I said laughing, remembering what went down that night.

*flashback*

When I got there, Selena was already sitting down in a booth.

"Hey Carter! How are you!" She asked me as she hugged me. "I'm good, how are you? it's been a while!" I said hugging her.

"Yes yes it has! I'm going AWESOME! Wait, shhhh, I should be quieter." She laughed.

"People are laughing, Selena! Shhh! Haha." I laughed as we sat down. "I'm sorry." She giggled.

"What are you gonna order? I'm probably gonna order the whole damn place. I'm so hungry." I laughed.

"You're a hungry butterfly. Don't ask why I called you that. But I am going to order the Chicken Deluxe Salad." She smiled.

"Haha! I want a country fried steak. Did you see how that waiter looked at me? What the fuck? He keeps looking at me Selena. What a creep." I said looking at the waiter.

"What a creep!" Selena said as she looked. "Should I stare back at him?" I laughed.

"Follow my lead, C!" Selena said as she smiled. "Okay." I simply said.

"Hey waiter! Ummm yeah, this lovely woman here is my wife," Selena said as the waiter approached us.

"Yes, please stop staring." We were both trying to hold back a laugh. "Yeah, we are madly in love with each other." I said as serious as I could.

Selena grabbed my hand. "Now please get us our food! My wife here is pregnant!" Selena yelled.

The waiter gave us a weird look. "He's probably wondering how I'm pregnant." I laughed.

*flashback over*

"those were the days!" Selena laughed. "I remember when I was pregnant and I would sneeze and pee myself..." I laughed.

"Me too!" She laughed. "How have you been?" I asked her. "So much better." She said.

"I am glad, babe. That's makes me happy." I said. "How have you been? Are you still stressed out?" Selena asked me.

"At times. But I take it easy for the baby." I answered her. "Yeah, I get you. Are you having a baby shower?" She asked me.

"Possibly! I haven't really thought about it much." I told her. "You totally should!" She smiled.

"You think?" I asked her. "Oh darlin', I know!" She laughed. "I'll talk to Sam about it." I smiled.

"Sounds good! Then let me know because I wanna plan it!" She smiled.

"Of course!" I smiled at her. "How's lily? I haven't heard much from her." Selena said.

"She's doing alright. Her and Luke are having the occasional relationship problems, but they manage." I said.

"That's good. Lily is so much like Brenda. It's unbelievable." Selena smiled.

"I know, and I am so grateful for that. I'll always have a piece of Brenda with me." I smiled.

"Have you gone to see her or Carol?" Selena asked me. "I went to see both of them last night." I sighed.

Selena put her hand on mine. "I know it's hard, but you have two guardian angels, love." She smiled.

"I know. My two beautiful guardian angels." I smiled. "Have you and Sam thought of baby names?" She asked me.

"No!" I laughed. "That's the most stressful part about having a baby." Selena laughed.

"Oh I know!" I laughed. "I am so happy for you. I've never seen you this happy. Not even with Brad, let alone Luke." She said.

"Yeah, I've noticed that too. I guess Sam just brings out the best in me." I smiled. "That makes me so happy." Selena said.

"Thank you, Sel. That means a lot to me." I said hugging her. "Of course." She smiled.

Today is finally the day Sam and I find out the gender of our baby, which means I'm 5 months.

"Are you nervous?" I asked Sam. "Yes! I've never done this before!" He said nervously.

I laughed at him and smiled. "Oh, babe. You'll be fine." I said holding his hand. We walked in, and did the usual procedure.

"Congrats you guys are expecting a healthy baby boy!" The doctor told us. "Yes!" Sam smiled.

We got our ultrasound pictures and headed home. "We're having a baby boy." I smiled.

"I am so excited!" Sam said as we got home. "Names?" I asked him. "Joseph Alexander?" He asked.

"I actually love that, baby." I smiled as I kissed him. "Joseph Alexander Pottorff... Ahhh! I'm having a kid!" he laughed.

"Yeah, you sure are!" I laughed. "This is nerve wracking!" He laughed. "Don't be nervous, you're gonna be an amazing dad, baby." I told him.

"Thank you so much baby. That means the world to me." He smiled.
