Carter's p.o.v

It's been two days. Two days of pure torture, sadness and anger.

We have been planning her funeral every since the day she passed.

Today, we are going to look at caskets. Not what I wanted to be doing.

I am in the car with Dad, Lily, Brad, Selena, & Kian. I went on Twitter.

'@CarterCaylen: hope u baby luvs have a good day. 💗'

'@CarterCaylen: pls do something wonderful today--something that makes you truly happy.'

'@CarterCaylen: casket shopping isn't what I want to be doing today...😪💔 #missmybrenda'

I locked my phone and layed my head on brad's shoulder. I put my sunglasses on.

Everyone has some. I was crying, but no one realized. We finally pulled up to the place.

Obviously, there were so many paps. I honestly don't want to deal with them.

We got out with our body guards and walked in. It doesn't feel real.

The last time I had to do this was when I was 10 years old. And it hurts.

I feel the pain all over again. We went in with the lady who we talked to earlier.

"The funeral is in just a few days. We want something that Brenda would have liked--something her." Dad said.

Her funeral is in a few days. It still hasn't hit me. This isn't a lie. It's real life.

"Carter, what do you think? Should we do silver, gold, black or white?" Dad asked me.

"Um, Brenda would've loved a pearly white," I said, my voice soft.

"I'm gonna go outside. I can't do this." I said as I walked out. I was immediately followed by paps.

"Seriously guys? Give the girl some space! She is hurting and she doesn't need you guys crawling up her ass!" A dark voice said behind me.

I turned around and saw a man. He was a pap. "hi, can you walk with me?" I asked him.

"Me? I don't want to intrude. I don't wanna take your personal space." He said.

"No, you wouldn't, I'm asking you too." I told him. He nodded and walked next to me.

"I'm mark." He said smiling, I shook his hand. "I'm Carter. Nice to meet you." I said.

"The pleasure is mine." I said. "Why didn't you chase me like everyone else?" I asked him.

"Because you need space in difficult moments like this." He said.

"Thank you, for that." I said. He handed me flowers he was carrying.

"These are for you. My daughters are huge fans. And here is a card. They made it." He said handing me the card.

I hugged him. "Thank you do much. Tell your daughters thank you." I said smiling.

"I will." He smiled. "Can I take a picture with you?" I asked him.

"Of course." He said confused. We took a picture together. "It was so nice to meet you, but I need to go back." I said.

"Yeah, take it easy, alright?" He asked hugging me. "You too." I said.

I walked back into the shop. Brad extended his arms and pulled me in a hug.
