Carter's p.o.v

It's been a day since Sam kissed me. I have been keeping a secret from dad, but I need to tell him. I can't keep this secret. I know it's only been a day, but it's already killing me.

I walked downstairs, where dad was with Lia. "Can I talk to you?" I asked them as I sat down. "What's up, baby?" Dad asked me. "Yesterday, um.... S-s-Sam and I k-kissed." I stuttered.

"I know, Sam told me." Dad said. "You're not mad?" I asked him. "No, I mean, if you like Sam, go for it. If he hurts you, he's dead." Dad said. I hugged him, and Lia. "I love you, guys." I told them before I headed to Sam's.

"Hey." I said as I sat on his bed. "Hellooooo." He said smiling. "Whats going on between us?" I asked Sam. "I don't think we're ready for a relationship. Maybe friends with benefits?" He asked me. I smiled and he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Friends with benefits." I told him. "I'm glad." He said kissing my forehead. "Let's go get a smoothie?" I asked. He got up, and put his shoes on. I got ready an hour ago. "Let's go." He said as we went to my room to get my phone and money. "dad, Sam and I are going to get smoothies." I told dad.

"Okay." He simply said. Sam and I got in his car, and drove to a smoothie shack. It's about 10 minutes away from us. We finally got there. Sam and I walked in holding hands. I saw girls whisper, but I ignored it. "What do you want?" Sam asked. "Mango smoothie." I told him. He nodded and ordered. Soon after, they gave us our order.

We then walked outside. "Thanks for the smoothie, Sam." I said thanking him as we sat down at a table. "You're welcome. are you sad about being homeschooled?" he asked me. "A little, but then again I'm glad I'll be home." I smiled.

"Selfie!" He said as he moved closer to me, I kissed his cheek and he snapped the picture then posted it.

I then locked my phone. i put my head on his shoulder. "Are you tired?" He asked. "Yasssss." I said laughing. We finished our smoothies, then left.

When we got home, Lia and dad were sitting on the couch. "I'm gonna go upstairs." Sam said as he walked upstairs. I sat next to Lia. "Lia? I have a question for you." I said. She looked concerned.

"Yes?" She asked. "Can I call you mom?" I asked. She instantly smiled. "Of course you can." she said pulling me in a hug. "I'm glad you two are getting along." dad smiled. I pulled my phone out, and we took a picture and I posted it.

I then locked my phone, and continued to watch tv. "daaaadddd?" I asked. "Yeah." He replied. "Is Trevor here? I wanna hang out with him." I said. "I think he's in his room." Dad said. I nodded and ran up to Trevor's room.

"Ayeeee." I said as I sat next to Trevor who was on the floor. "What's up?" He asked. "I was bored." I laughed. He pulled his phone out in front of us, and took a picture of us. I smiled and he did too.

"What's up with you and Sam?" He asked. "What do you mean?" I asked, obviously knowing what he meant. "I see you guys." He said. I laughed. "Friends with benefits." I said. "Oh, well that's disappointing." He said. I laughed.

Trevor and I talked until midnight, then I headed to my bed and crawled in bed, I put my phone to charge and quickly fell asleep.

I woke up an hour ago. I'm sitting on the couch downstairs. It's only 6am so no one is really awake. I then got a text from Luke.

Hey, you never told me why you weren't going to school? And I still have too.😝

I told my dad Rebecca was bullying me, and he flipped the hell out, so now I'm homeschooled, but have a good day.😊

I locked my phone and watched tv. Then, Ricky came downstairs. "you're up early." he said as he walked in the kitchen. "Yeah." I simply said walking in the kitchen.

I opened the fridge and pulled the orange juice out. I then waked to the cupboard and pulled a cup out, and poured myself some orange juice. "Why are you up early?" I asked Ricky.

"I have a meeting." he said. I simply nodded. Soon, he left, leaving me by myself in the kitchen. I ate some cereal, then went to dad's room. Lia must have left last night.

Wishbone woke up and ran to me. I picked him up, then he ran downstairs. I jumped on dad's bed. "WAKE UPPPPPP." I yelled as I jumped on his bed. He groaned, then woke up. "Fucking hell, Carter." He said.

I don't know why, but I burst out laughing. Dad looked absolutely confused, which made the situation funnier. "Good morning daddy." I said as I layed next to him. "good morning baby girl. Why are you up so early?" He asked me.

"Dunno. I guess I couldn't sleep anymore." I said. Dad stood up, and I did as well. We walked downstairs. "Did you already eat?" Dad asked me. "I ate cereal." I told him. "Are you still hungry?" He questioned.

"Nope." I said as I sat down on the couch. Dad walked in the kitchen. I then went on my phone, and saw that Sam tweeted me, and Trevor posted the picture we took yesterday.

I locked my phone and went upstairs. Sam's door was opened, so I walked in, and jumped in his bed. I layed down next to him. He pulled me closer to him, so I was facing him. I wrapped my arms around his neck.

He leaned in and kissed me. I then put my head in his chest, so his chin was on my head. "Good morning." I heard him say. "Morning." I said laughing. he pulled his phone out and took a picture of us. You could only see my hair. He then posted it.

He put his phone away, and we got up. I jumped on his back, and we walked downstairs. we sat on the couch, and watched tv. "I'm really tired." Kian said as he walked downstairs. He then walked to the kitchen.
