Carter's p.o.v

"Madison was...." Mason said in tears. "Madison what? Mason, what?" I asked in tears as well.

"Madison was raped." He said falling to the ground, and letting out soft screams. My heart broke into a million pieces.

He didn't just say that... No, it's not true... "Stop, Mason! That's not funny!" I yelled.

"Mom, IM NOT KIDDING!" He yelled. I fell to the floor, screaming and crying. "WHERE IS SHE? WHERE IS MY BABY?" I screamed.

"She's in the hospital. Kian and Sel are with her now." He answered. I didn't ask any more questions.

I got in the car and drove off to the hospital. When I got to the hospital, Kian and Sel were in the waiting room. They tried to hug me, but I walked past them.

Desperate to find Madison, I looked in every single room. I finally found her. Room 321.

I walked in, and the doctor was hovering over her. She looked lifeless. She had bruises and cuts all over her body.

"Carter, don't worry. She's okay. She's just sleeping. She was in so much pain, and no pain killer would help, so we gave her some medicine to sleep." Our doctor said.

"Oh my god..." I said as I held her hand. "She's going to need a lot of counseling, support, love, encouragement." The doctor said.

"Of course. Who did this?" I asked him. "She kept saying Peyton Meyer over and over again when she got here." He explained.

"No... It can't be." I said as my heart broke even more. Peyton Meyer. My baby's first love..

I just sat there crying, and eventually I called Bradley. It was just me and him in the room. At about 2am, Madison woke up.

"Mommy... Daddy." She cried. Bradley and I held her hands tightly, kissing her. "Don't talk, baby." Bradley told her.

"It's going to be okay." I told her. She began crying. My heart broke all over again.

I was suppose to protect her... Be there for her... And I wasn't. This wouldn't of happened if I went with her.

"I know you're blaming yourself, Car." Bradley said. "It's my fault!" I said. "Stop, it's not. It's not your fault, nor Madison's, nor anyone else's but Peyton's." Bradley said giving me a side hug.

Madison just laid there, silent. Not saying a word, just staring at the wall. At 4am, the doctor released her, and Bradley took her to my house.

He's going to be spending a couple nights here, for Madison. "I'll be in the guest room." He said.

I nodded, and made my way to Madison's room. I laid next to her, and she hugged me.

"Mom, we can't cancel the party." She said. "Baby..." I said. "Mom! Please, no! We can't!" She yelled.

"Sh, my angel. Calm down. But are you sure you want to still have a party?" I asked her.

"Yes. I can't ruin it for Mas. Today's my birthday, I don't want to spend it like this." She said.

"That's my girl. You're so strong. And if you think this is going to stay like this, you're wrong. We are suing Peyton, and hopefully get him arrested." I said.

Everything went to hell at the bash. We didn't even get to the bash. Mason and Madison are mad at me.

Why? Because Selena left Justin, for Kian & I stood up for Justin. I told Kian and Sel it would be better if they didn't show up to the bash, since Justin was already there.

Of course, Madison and Mason freaked out. Everyone turned against me. All I've done these past few hours is cry.

"Go screw some more guys and have more kids." Those words, that my own son, Mason said to me kept repeating in my head.

I am so done trying to fix this family. I'm always the one who gives so much up just so everyone is happy, and when I need them, no one's there.

I tried so hard to fix things, but no. Everyone turned against me. Everyone. Kian even kicked me out of our house.

Madison won't even talk to me, neither will Mason, and Selena is ignoring me as well.

I gave up so much all the time just so my kids would be happy, all for this? So they can treat me like this and step on me?

No one understands. I want to leave far away. I know it sounds selfish because of Madison and Mason, but I'm done being stepped on.
