Chalkline's POV

I went silent on the phone for a moment. "Are you sure?" I asked the lady on the phone.

"Yes Mr. Walker, your son asked me to call and he is asking you to call your suite."

"Ok, thank you."

When the call ended I called LJ's phone, no answer and it was the same with Queen's. I called Aunty because I refused to believe that this shit was true.

"Aunty, weh the pickney dem deh?"

She took a deep breath. "Bwoy, Garrick—" I didn't need to hear anymore. I ended the call and the rage that hit me was electrifying. I took the center table and threw it across the room.

"Garrick!" Kimmy came running into the room, carrying Garth. She placed him on the couch and all I could feel after was she shaking me and calling my name but I couldn't react.

The room went dark but I could hear everything. Kimmy told King to call an ambulance, I tried telling her now but the words couldn't leave my mouth. Something held me, whatever it was blinded and dumb me.

"Garrick, wake up please!" I heard Kimmy crying, I tried moving my hand but it was heavy. The baby started crying and I could feel the tears running down my face. I must have tried closing my eyes and that's when I saw Kimmy over me.

I felt like I was under water and I came up for air.

"Garrick?"

"Yes," I answered.

She threw her arms around me and hugged me, she was crying and I was laying on the floor. "Don't ever scare me like that again."

She and King helped me from the floor and placed me onto the couch. Even though I felt weak I took Garth up and placed him on my chest to comfort him. "It's ok papa, I'm right here."

"Dad, the ambulance on the way."

"No, cancel it, I'm ok."

"You don't look ok Garrick and you are cold," Kimmy said.

I looked around the room and realized that it wasn't just the table I threw, I wrecked the place without even knowing.

"Cancel it. I have to leave for New York now. Call Kelly for me and tell her to send the plane— or just book a flight for me King."

"No, I will call Kelly," he said and left the room.

"What happened, Garrick?"

This was still unbelievable and it made me so angry to even say it out loud. "I have to go pick up my kids in New york."

"Which kids?"

"Stacy tek the kids and sent them to my apartment in New York, thinking I'm there."

"The fuck? Suh who is there with them?"

"Sitra Newell," I replied.

"Oh, damn."

"Yes, yup."

"Do you want me to come with you?"

"No."

"Ok but I am sending King with you."

She wasn't going to stop so I agreed plus it was a good time to have the children around me, they will help with keeping me out of prison.

Stacy's POV

With a wine glass in my hand and my heart out of my chest, I sat by the pool wishing my phone would ring. I wasn't able to reach the kids and I couldn't understand why.
