Chalkline's POV

"Stop— stop running from it."

"Line, you were leaving and turn back just to fuck me. Are you for real?"

I had to kiss her lips while she spoke and as I sank into her. "I saw what you were wearing and it just reminded me how wet you were last night and the night before."

"Nuh matter how yuh fuck me, I'm still mad at you."

"Suh me just keep fucking you until you love me again and stop being mad at me." She was about to say something but I pressed my lips to her to stop the talking. All I wanted to hear were her moans as I fuck her slow and deep.

"Can we get away for a few days? Just me and you, no phones."

"Your phone is ringing and I'm sure it's Mel, you are to meet with her and Poppy."

"That's not what I asked you."

"Garrick, it's not a good time. My event is this weekend plus Poppy is here."

"She is here to see her grandson, not me."

"You are incharge of part of their finances."

"They can take it back right now. I'm only doing it because of my mother. Me nuh owe Poppy nothing."

"Please go to the meeting."

I hissed my teeth and rolled off her. It had been hard getting through her. Every time I asked her for something she had an excuse or she ignored me.

It was hard trying not to start shit but I am about to jump off a ledge.

"Just tell me yuh nuh wh do anything with me."

"You were just inside me."

"It's like I had to fight you or force you Stacy, me nuh feel like yah feel me."

She sat up in bed and looked back at me. "This is all on you, don't blame me for your conscience."

I hissed my teeth and got up out of the bed to answer my phone. "Mel, I will be there in five minutes." I ended the call before she started then piss me off.

"You want me to come with you?" She asked.

"No. mi good. Aguh hold a shower and make my way up a Mystro."

I took a quick shower and got dressed again. I look at her from the mirror as I button my shirt. She was lying on her stomach scrolling through her phone.

"Stacy?"

"Yes." she answered without looking into my direction, she was still on the phone. Something inside me was pushing me to do something— anything to make me feel less irritable about her behavior.

Why the fuck Poppy had to show up now?

I turned from the mirror to look at her. "Am I not trying?"

"Trying what?" she asked, still focusing on her phone. Shit— I took a deep breath and closed my eyes to control my breathing. I heard my phone ringing again and I opened my eyes. It was Mel.

"I have to go."

"Ok," she said. I quickly left the room and made my wat to the car and drove out of the yard before I changed my mind and fuck the place up.

"Why was I feeling like this?" I asked myself before I stepped out of the car. This wasn't the time to fuck up, Mel was really depending on me. I opened the glove compartment and took a bottle of water out.
