Stacy's POV

"Stacy, are you coming with me or will you drive to the house on your own?"

"Well I was hoping Garrick would come back here after dropping the girls off but I guess not."

She came closer to me and fixed a loose hair from my face. "Is everything ok?" she asked. Now wasn't the right time to say anything but it was just too heavy to keep it to myself.

"Did you know Garrick spent 40 millions dollars to purchase the land surrounding my Airbnb on Blake Road?"

She looked puzzled, she had no clue at all. "That's news to me, however, whatever Garrick does with his money is never an interest for me to be honest."

Of course, these people don't even know them fucking money.

"Well he bought it to mess with the land you gave me."

"That's because his name is on the tile but I gifted it to you."

"So it's his still, it's just a gift to me and he is very smart, I'm pretty sure he knows that."

"Stacy, he is not going to do anything."

"He said he had ill intentions in the beginning."

"So that's the issue you two are having now? A piece of land?"

I really wish it was just the land because I could convince him to sign everything over to me but now it's deeper than that.

"No. I got upset and I mentioned that he should seek help because he was hurting because Coley hurt him."

Mel's mouth fell open and I was afraid to keep eye contact with her. " You told him knew about the bitch?"

"I had to. Mel, he needs to get help."

"Stacy, you could have waited until Poppy left or after I'm dead."

"Mel. you need to let him get some help. Are you going to sit and watch him self-destruct? "

"Look, this is not the right time to have this conversation. Let's go have this dinner and tomorrow we will have this discussion."

"You guys have a wedding tomorrow and I have my event the next day."

"We will figure it all out. Let's go."

I didn't like how she was brushing this off like it was nothing. There was no way I was the only one who saw how bad Garrick had gotten.

When I got to the house there was no sign of Garrick but Jade said she saw him. Mel tok meet Poppy, her face lit up when she saw me.

"Mrs. Stacy Walker, it's a pleasure to finally meet such a beauty." I was surprised how she got up and greeted me before everyone. I side eyed Mel and she slightly nodded at me.

"It's a pleasure meeting you as well. I've heard nothing but good things about you."

"I don't believe you but I will take that," she said and we laughed. She took her seat and I was a little mesmerized by her aura.

You could see money all over her, everything about her was elegant. I thought I used to admire the way Mel carried herself but Poppy was top shelf elegance. Reek of poised and grace.

"Pretty old woman, isn't she?" Jade whispered to me.

"Mi cyah stop look pon her," I whispered back. I couldn't help to watch how she handled everyone with courtesy. Mystro was stuck to her side and you could tell she adored him.

"She is nothing like Imagined."

"What you mean?" I asked Jade.

"I don't know if she is pretending but she is very gentle and sweet. Mel said not to trust her and be careful of what we say to her when she asks a questions."
