Several Hours Before

Stacy's POV

8:25 PM

I took a peek out to the ballroom area. Everything was moved from the Pacific to The Towers for security reasons and Garrick wouldn't have it any other way. Now he is not coming.

"I can't believe so much people came out for me."

Maybe they came because of my famous associations and my husband. Mel already scolded me for thinking this way but I couldn't help it. Everything was so surreal.

"Stacy, stop act like seh you name nuh big. Yuh ready to go out there?" Jade asked while Tricia tried her bed to keep my dress into one place.

"All of a sudden me just feel 'fraid."

"Of what?" Leah asked.

I was really a nervous wreck. For some strange reason I kept thinking about falling in front of everyone. Why did I invite all those people?

"Then I have to give a speech. Jesus, mi wah shit." They started laughing but I was serious.

"Look here nuh, I literally dragged my pregnant self out of the house for this, don't make my baby born favor yuh," Chelsea said.

"Already tell yuh that this baby aguh look like me, it's a payback for Queen looking like you."

"And acting like her too," Leann said. I laughed.

"Stacy, we are right here to support you. Look how long you want this?"

"Yuh right Tricia, I am ready."

"One thing with Poppy she aguh behave like seh Jahir a fi har. I am tired of my son's grandmother." Junior entered the room cursing. Him and Poppy has been at it for days now and it was hilarious.

"Ignore her, that's her grandchild. Anyways, how me look?"

"Always and forever pretty," He said and gave me a kiss on my cheek.

"Ok, stop all this mushy mushy, let's go see these people," Tricia said.

As we were about to leave there was a knock on the door. Jade opened it and in came Garrick. I honestly didn't expect him but I felt a little better now that he showed up.

"Can I have a moment with my wife?" He asked politely. The girls started to leave and I kind of wished we could all leave together.

"Talk some courage into her," Leah said to him before she exited with Junior.

"What do you need courage for?" he asked.

"Just a little nervous, but I will be fine once I am out there." I hope so.

He was looking really good and I could smell him from a mile away. He came closer to me and kissed me on my lips.

"You look beautiful."

"Thank you. We have to go, I don't want to keep them waiting much longer." I tried to pass him but he stopped me.

"They can wait a little longer. I'm proud of you."

"I appreciate you for telling me this."

"Shit, I forgot the flowers in the car," he said, looking really disappointed.

"Garrick, it's ok. You can give it to me later, you're here with me and that's one of the best things tonight."

"You sure 'bout that?"

"Yes. I am glad you are here."

"I really have to ask because of what you said in the message. It's like it wouldn't matter if I showed up or not."
