Chapter 32- Code Blue

Mel's POV

"Grandma, will mom be ok?" LJ asked and I looked over at Garrick before I answered him. "She is going to be just fine, my love." I gave him a kiss and a hug while I stared at Garrick who didn't take his eyes off my phone. This time I was truly nervous for him.

"She is heading to Hagley Park Road now," Garrick said.

"We just need to know who she is with."

"With someone she doesn't want to be with because she keeps pressing bracelet when she goes to a new location."

I shifted my eyes to LJ so he would know not to say much in front of him. "Someone is at the gate." He said. I checked the camera to see Harrison standing at the gate.

"Open the gate," I instructed him.

We waited on the steps as Harrison walked up to the house. "Mrs. Muir, Mr. Walker, I have some news."

This could not be good.

"Where is your car and why are you alone?"

He wiped his forehead, signs that this was big. Harrison was never man to show stress in times of trouble but now, he was definitely showing it.

''I had to travel alone on foot, I don't know who to trust since one of ours had gone rogue."

"One of ours, who?"

"St. Antonio Marsells, Ma'am."

"Milo? Harrison, are you sure?"

He reached into his pocket and came out with Stacy's ring. He handed it to Garrick. "I found this in his abandoned car, I believe your wife left it for us to know who she was with."

"Milo has Stacy?" Garrick asked.

"I believe so sir."

"Come here LJ. I need you to do something for Grandma. OK?"

"Sure Grandma."

"Take your sisters and brother and go to the other side of the house with Grandma Joan. I will check in with you guys in a few."

"Are you sure everything is ok Grandma?"

"Very sure, don't worry."

He looked at his father and Garrick nodded his head at him. I waited for LJ to leave before I said anything more.

"What are we going to do?" Garrick asked.

"We can't do anything sudden, everyone should stay put—"

"Fuck yuh mean stay put?"

"Garrick, listen. We don't know who Milo is working with since our security team has been compromised. We can't make any sudden movements, we don't know who is watching."

"Suh yah tell me seh I should stay here while a man take my wife?— she is now moving towards Three Miles."

"The private airport, that's where he is heading."

"Suh why we still deh here suh?"

I looked at Harrison and he knew what to do. He raised his gun at Garrick and I quickly moved behind him to disarm him.

"I'm sorry Garrick" I closed my eyes as I pushed the needle into his arms and guided him to the ground as fall.

"That was too easy, I thought I would have to shoot him."

"That was plan B. Nice move with the needle exchange though. You really came prepared."

"Let's take him to a room so we can get started." It was hard work but Harrison and I got him to the nearest room and handcuffed him to the bed.
