Chalkline's POV

She wouldn't allow me to wrap my arms around her, she seemed uncomfortable.

"Can you relax?"

"How? You have me inna bush, dragged me from my dinner and took me in the dark."

"I'm not going to do you anything. I just want you to talk to me."

"Garrick, I don't have anything to talk about. I literally came out here to clear my mind and here you come, disrupting it."

I wrapped my hand around her, holding her hands. There was no escaping me as I rested my head on her back for comfort. "I need you Stacy."

"You should have known that before you went and ruined your family." I deserved that.

"Help me fix this, please." She tried to move but I held onto her tightly.

"Garrick, fix what? You went out of your way to breed this woman and now you expected me to just sit here and accept it.

"I don't expect you to do that Stacy. The thing is I have become so dependent on you that I don't even know how to function."

"Yuh are you ignoring the part weh yuh breed the gyal?"

I took a deep breath. "I'm not but what am I to do about it?"

"I don't know— Kill the bitch."

"Stacy."

"I will do it then."

"You will not kill anyone."

"Yah waste my time, let me go."

"No, let me back into the house then."

"Garrick, you moved out on your own."

"Suh I can move back in?"

"No!" She answered firmly.

"Suh how are we going to work this out?"

"Garrick, this is your problem. You didn't think of none of this shit when you were out there with this bitch, fucking her raw and asking her for children. In a fucking contract too. Guh deal with your problems."

"I was angry and confused. After I saw the note you had written I thought you didn't love me anymore—I just lost it."

"And found comfort in another woman. You didn't come home and stay with me and allowed us to work things out but you want me to stay with you now and work things out when you are in the wrong. See how the tables are turning?"

"Stacy—"

"Garrick, every single time you are mad at me, a next gyal breed. I'm not accepting anymore spite babies, 4 was enough plus Tamara pickney that you refused to allow the man to be a father to his child."

"Don't start with that, she refused, not me. Whatever she and him have doesn't have shit to do with me. Her son knows me as his dad and I just do my part for them."

"Out of guilt don't it? You draw her into your fuckery and now you stuck with her and her child."

"Why are we are talking about this?"

"Nuh you seh you wah talk? Suh I'm talking about everything that's bothering me."

"This nuh—"

"No man make me list them out since you want us to talk. First this property you bought without my knowledge..."

"I bought it for you, it was supposed to be your wedding gift, a rental property. I don't know why the fuck Mel sent unuh here."

"Still, include me in shit nuh."
