Stacy's POV
I listened, I heard words but nothing made sense. It's like I was out of my body and watching my own self becoming an empty shell.
While everyone panicked and listened for any sign of hope on the other side of the call. I quietly slipped away and went upstairs to lock myself Inside the bathroom.
My thoughts wouldn't allow me to even pray, everything was a mixture of confusion and gut wrenching pain. All I could do was lay on the cold floor and closed my eyes, wishing this was all just a really bad dream and that I would wake up soon.
Jade's POV
"Mel is still not answering her phone."
"Maybe we just have to wait," Tricia said. I looked behind me and noticed that Stacy was no longer sitting on the chair. "Weh Stacy?" I asked.
"Maybe she went upstairs."
"Should we go up there or give her some space?" I asked.
It was just Tricia and I at the house, everyone else left with Mel for the hospital. This was heavy on us, we didn't know what to do.
"We should just go check on her." I agreed with her and we made our way to the bedroom. I knocked on the door but there was no answer. "Betta we just go in."
"Mi feel 'fraid like me aguh walk in on something—"
"Jade nuh bother think like that," she said and opened the door. Stacy wasn't in the room but we knew she was in the bathroom after trying the door and noticing it was locked.
"Stacy?"
"Stacy, we are out here alone, everyone is gone. Can you open the door?" Tricia tried the door again but to no avail.
"Stacy I am going to kick off the door or guh call LJ if yuh—"
"I'm fine, just leave me alone," she said, her voice sounding weak, she was crying.
"Stacy, just let us in so we can be there for you. Please," Tricia said but she didn't say another word.
"You think we should call Maria?"
"For what, she is going to make things better?" Tricia asked. I knew that mentioning Maria was a little triggering for her but I had to think of something.
***
Mel's POV
I was growing frustrated with everyone in this hospital. All we heard is that he was in surgery and no one wanted to say much. It has been over two hours now.
"I am about to lose it!" I shouted.
"Mom, calm down," Mystro said but I didn't have a calm bone in me right now.
"Who do I need to shoot to get some answers about my son around here?"
"Mrs. Muir, please I am asking you to go easy on the outburst. I am sure as soon as we have an update we will let you know." Words from a nurse. If it wasn't for a lawsuit I would just pitch her from before me.
I sat down because I didn't want to get put out and I was on my second warning. "Mom, you need some water?" Elliot asked.
"No, I just want to know what's going on with Garrick."
"We just have to wait."
It's been hours since we've been here and nothing, not even a little word of comfort from the doctors. I will have everyone fired after this, if not by force. Who the fuck they think they are treating like this?
