Hours Before...
Stacy POV
Lavender, that was the scent that tickled my nose as I walked the long corridor to the white door in a near distance.
Why do I have a bouquet? I thought. My feet bare, a veil covered my face.
Am I getting married?
Whispering voices told me to keep going. The fields of lavender that stream along on both sides of the corridor gave me some sort of comfort.
The door got closer and that's when he appeared, dressed in a white. Garrick? Why wouldn't it be him? I finally got close to him. I held up the bouquet... No, no... it. was now a gun.
Where did this come from? I was so confused. I looked up at him and he was just smiling at me as I pointed it to his head. Now I was angry. He must have done something to make me feel his way.
He was still smiling even though I had the gun pointed in between his eyes. I closed my eyes, my chest tightened, fear and regret already washing me.
"I'm going to kill you!" I screamed.
My eyes flew open, I found my hands and they were shaking. "I was dreaming," I said as I tried to catch my breath. My phone was beside me, I checked the time.
"After 8," I mumbled. "All inna me dreams dah man yah wah me kill him." I took a sip of water and gathered myself.
It took me an hour to get ready, the dream still lingering, having me a little rattled. I went to make sure the kids were ready for school, they were already gone.
"Stacy, Queen had a note from her teacher. You saw it?" Joan asked, just as I was about to pour some coffee.
"No, what it say?"
"They need to see you." It was too early for this shit.
"Dah little girl yah man," I mumbled under my breath. "I will go to the school today."
"Oh and LJ added two more people for his graduation party."
"Okay, thank you."
"Good morning." Her voice irks the fuck out of me. I quickly took my coffee cup then proceeded to leave.
"Stacy, can I have a word with you?"
"About?"
She looked at Joan behind me. "I just wanted to apologize for everything that I said to you."
"Hmmm?" I heard she was going around apologizing to people, guess she finally reached me.
"I'm not expecting you to forgive me right away but as one mother to the next, I pray you understand where I was coming from."
I don't understand shit and if it wasn't for my kids I would have asked her ass to leave my house and her son couldn't say she to me because the tile only had our names on it.
"Sure," I replied and she walked away. I downed the rest of the coffee and poured some more. I needed it and some strong liquor to deal with all this.
"Look like she is still not able to see the man either," Joan said and my antenna went up.
"Wah yuh mean?"
"Garrick ban her from the yard but you never hear it from me."
Oh, they were having issues? Good for them. "Dem lucky. I'm going to get ready and go to the school. God knows I am sick of Queen's behavior."

"3 notes?" I asked the teacher.
"Yes Mrs. Walker. I didn't want to call because I knew of your husband's condition—"
