When Xu Jiashen found Shen Gusi, he was surrounded by several children in a corner.

He was obviously almost thirty years old, but he looked so weak in front of the eight or nine-year-old children, curling up into a small ball with his head in his hands.

  "Mad, mad!"

  "Stinking beggar!"

"You look for your daughter every day. Where is your daughter? She must have died a long time ago."

"That's right, if I had a father like you, I definitely wouldn't want to live."

They kept throwing stones at Shen Gusi, cursing at him and laughing as if they were playing an interesting game.

  "She's not dead!"

Shen Gusi's eyes were red. He didn't care whether he was beaten or scolded, or humiliated. The only thing he cared about was that his daughter was dead.

That was a thorn in Shen Gusi's heart.

When he woke up, he remembered nothing. He didn't remember who he was, why he fell on the side of the road, or how he got the wound on his head.

But he remembered his name and that he had a daughter.

A few days after being picked up, Shen Gusi fell seriously ill with a high fever that wouldn't go away.

After recovering from the illness, he often had hallucinations and firmly believed that his daughter was not dead.

The hallucination was like a shadow that always followed Shen Gusi. Most of the time, Shen Gusi was normal, but as soon as it came to his daughter, he went crazy.

Shen Gusi ignored the pain in his body. He bared his teeth and his expression became ferocious, looking like a trapped beast.

"My daughter is not dead! You are the ones who are talking nonsense!"

He pounced towards them, but his thin and weak body was no match for these spoiled children. They dodged lightly and Shen Gusi fell to the ground due to inertia.

The group of children standing nearby laughed in exaggerated, frightened voices: "Wow, a madman is hitting people, a madman is hitting people, run, run."

In their eyes, the disheveled Shen Gusi was just a joke to please them.

They surrounded Shen Gusi, laughing harshly.

This was exactly the scene when Xu Jiashen approached.

The blood rushed to his head and he felt like he was going crazy.

  "What are you doing!?"

He rushed over and pushed one of the children away. The child was caught off guard and fell to the ground.

This kid had probably never been treated like this before, and was embarrassed in front of his friends. He was so angry that he pointed at Xu Jiashen and shouted, "You pushed me! You actually pushed me!"

  "Get out!" Xu Jiashen yelled.

He had never been so angry.

Xu Jiashen's roar resounded through the originally quiet night sky. He hugged Shen Gusi tightly in his arms. The only street light just happened to shine on his face. His angry eyes were like a bloodthirsty beast, and the low air pressure came like an overwhelming tidal wave.

The kids who bullied the weak and feared the strong all swallowed their saliva at the same time.

They realized that the man in front of them was not someone who could be easily bullied, so they all ran away in fear. The boy who was pushed down and fell also wanted to run, but his butt was so painful that he had difficulty getting up.
