Driven to be the number one hero

Chapter 106

All Might walked over to his son, you could feel the pride as he said. Son soon I'll be able to retire, I know that you can carry the weight of being the number hero. Let's rest in 2 days you'll have to fight 4 heroes. I won't be one of them, plus you can use all of your quirks he continued. Izuku felt proud hearing his father's compliment. All Might said, let's go to the control room we have a fight to review. Dean Nezu finally took his eyes off the monitors. When he turned to see his professor's and the three guests, their facial expressions ranged from shock to concern.  A moment later All Might, Izuku, Recovery Girl, Cementos, Hawks and Aizawa walked into the room.

Dean Nezu looked at his professor's and the three guests and said, Izuku showed restraint with his strength, and only escalated as his opponent did. Even moving at speeds that we couldn't track, Izuku showed control over his strength the Dean contacted. Power Loader said that's great when fighting a battle harden veteran like All Might. But not so great when fighting his peers he continued. Recovery Girl agreed with him, she looked at Izuku with motherly affection and said. Izuku I'd never thought you'd become such a powerful fighter. I wanted you to become a healer like me. I still want you to be a healer, but now because of my fear of what would happen if you see someone you care about getting hurt. If it wasn't for her reinforced bones you would have killed Zorin she continued. Izuku felt a large hand land on his shoulder, his father smiled at him and said, Izuku I have faith in you. I know that you will will be a great hero. Because you are strong people will fear you he continued. 

Izuku looked over to his girls for the first time doubts settled into his decision. Then All Might continued to speak, No one in this room is more qualified than me when I say that, When the people need you. When you show up you will become their guardian angel, to those poor villains you will become their worst nightmare. When people are in trouble they will call out for heroes, when heroes are in trouble they will call for you. That's the hero I see you becoming All Might continued. Just like that Izuku's doubts shattered. Izuku looked at his father and said thank you. Izuku looked at his teachers, mentor's and loved ones and said, I will become the number one hero.

Dean Nezu smiled and said let's go over the combat footage. The footage was played in slow motion. They were able to see the move that sent All Might flying for the first time. Izuku threw a punch and All might grabbed his forearm. All might did a classic hip toss, but Izuku used the momentum as he held onto All Might's arm landing in his feet and rolling forward and throwing All Might at the building. Then they got to see the punch that sent Izuku flying. Izuku threw a right hook at All Might's head and instead of blocking the punch he ducked. All Might landed a solid hook to Izuku's ribs that sent him flying. Dean Nezu paused the fight and almost laughed, the looks on All Might's and Izuku's face were that of surprise. Dean Nezu asked, what happened right here. Izuki answered first, I thought he was going to block the punch. All Might said, same here it was an off balance punch and then I was airborne again. Dean Nezu said, thank you Izuku your free to leave.

Dean Nezu looked at Aizawa and asked, Should we allow Izuku to join his class to get his hero certification. Aizawa looked confused and asked, how else can we get him certified. Nezu said, his performance during the raid was stellar. Even Endeavor defended Izuku's actions he continued. All Might said, you think that if Izuku joins his class, he'll cover their short comings. Nezu said, yes he would and we need to know how they can function without him. Aizawa asked what do we tell the class when  Izuku doesn't precipitate in the exam. Nezu said, that he was certified during the raid. Aizawa said, Some of his classmates are going to be angry that he doesn't have to take the exam. Nezu simply said, Just remind that he raided a criminal compound, and single handily fought and captured an international criminal. Aizawa only nodded his head. All Might asked, When they return who will Izuku have to fight. Nezu said he will be fighting Endeavor, Hawks, Best Jeanist and Mirko. Midnight said, those are some heavy hitters. 

The staff agreed with her. All Might was the first to agree with Nezu saying, it has to be this way. I just fought him and and towards the end I wasn't holding back, and he held his ground. Vlad King asked, are you being serious right now. All Might said, I'm being very serious right now. Did you not see the look of surprise on my face when we shot at each that last time. He actually beat me to the punch catching me off balance when we punched each other he continued. Snipe asked, is that why you both went flying. All Might nodded his head and said, we need to let the heroes know that if they don't take him seriously, Izuku will crush them. That comment shocked the staff. Nezu said I'll make the arrangements.

When All Might got home he smelled something delicious from the kitchen. Tsuyu was in the kitchen making dinner. Momo and Ochaco were setting the table. Eri was standing next to Tsuyu helping Tsuyu make dinner. All Might said hello then asked where was Izuku. Eri ran to her grandpa and hugged him. Eri said Daddy stunk and needed a shower. All Might put Eri down and said go get your dad and tell him to come here. A few moments later Izuku walked in the kitchen in his bath robe. All Might told him what Nezu decided. The girls were in shock, disappointed that he wouldn't be joining the for the exam. Momo asked if they could see Izuku fight the Heroes. All Might said not this time but I'll show up the video footage.
