The next morning class 1A loaded onto the buses and were off to take their hero certification exam. When they got off the bus Aizawa heard a familiar voice. Miss Joke asked Aizawa is that you? Aizawa was standing next to Izuku and in a low voice said. hurry and change my appearance. Izuku quickly changed Aizawa's appearance and voice. Aizawa turned and asked, I'm sorry were you talking to me. Miss Joke looked shocked and said I'm sorry I thought you were someone else. Aizawa simply said I was just tasked bring these students to the testing grounds. Aizawa felt something in him shift when he saw the genuine look of disappointment on her face. Aizawa quickly said, let me talk to my charges and we will meet in the stands.
Kaminari looked at Aizawa and asked, Professor what happened to your face. Aizawa quickly said, shut up and don't mention it again or you will be pulled out of the exam. The class went silent as Aizawa told them where to go. Before they left he told them to trust in their training and they will be fine. As Izuku and Aizawa walked to the seats Aizawa asked, who do I look like. Izuku said, i watched a action movie called John Wick and I made you look like the main character. Aizawa was glad that Miss Joke likes romance and comedy and disliked action movies. Aizawa asked, can you keep this illusion on me until she leaves. Izuku smiled and said yes.
Izuku sat one row in front of Aizawa and listened to the two professors talk as they watched the students take their exam. Izuku was so focused on his class he didn't hear what Aizawa and Miss Joke's conversation. Aizawa asked Miss joke, what does you see in Professor Aizawa. Her response surprised him. Miss Joke said, behind his gloomy exterior he's a very compassionate man. I saw it when we went out on a couple of missions together. I like to tease him but I know that he would make a great father she continued. Aizawa asked, what makes you think that. Miss Joke smiled and said. We've been here a couple of times together watching over our classes. I saw the look of pride on his face as his students succeed she continued. Aizawa was looking at Miss Joke in a new light.
Izuku watched his class overcome one obstacle after another. Pride welling up in his chest as he watched the girl's working together like a well oiled machine. Izuku hated not being able to join the class for the exam. But at the same time he liked seeing how the other colleges compared to UA. After the first round he understood why UA stood at the top. While the other schools treated this like a test. His class treated this like a fight, They dug in when overwhelmed then lashed out violently when their opponents made mistakes. His entire class made it through the first two rounds of the exam.
It wasn't until the third round when pride cost two of his classmates to fail. If it wasn't for Kirishima, Todoroki would have accidentally roasted another student. Bakugo failed because he was being mean to the injured. Miss Joke said, I'm sorry I never got your name. Aizawa said, it's Wick, John Wick. Miss joke asked, Can you please ask Professor Aizawa to call me. John said I'll make sure that he calls you.
