Driven to be the number one hero

Chapter 117

Bakugo and Todoroki's fight devolved from a technical fight into a slug fest. Both men exhausted but refusing to lose. Aizawa knew that the only reason that they were pushing this hard was because they saw Izuku's fight. In the end Bakugo barely won, as soon as professor Aizawa declared him the winner he collapsed. Aizawa was proud to see his students pushing themselves that hard. It was like Izuku light a fire in them. Tomorrow he is going to hand out the letters of acceptance for internships from the hero agencies. each student had a minimum of 4 requests. Heroes were very interested in this years freshman class. 

 When Izuku got home He helped Eri with her homework. The girls went into the kitchen and began making dinner. It was Ochaco's turned to cook, she made a Gyudon being that class ran a little longer today. When All Might walked into the house he commented on how good the food smelled. Ochaco said, your just in time for dinner as Tsuyu and Momo set up the table. When they sat down to eat All Might said, Tomorrow you will receive your internship acceptance letters. Take a day to think about which Hero would be the best fit for you he continued. Izuku and the girls got excited. Momo asked All Might if he could help them pick what would be the best fit for them. All Might smiled and said he would help.

Izuku received the most letters. 25 of the top hero agencies reached out to him, but he was very disappointed because the one letter he wanted wasn't in his stack. Momo, Tsuyu and Ochaco all received 10 letters each. Ochaco was stunned by one letter in particular. Tsuyu and Momo had some very strong possibilities. Mineta looked at his 4 letters then looked at everyone else he thought he needed to step up his efforts to stand out. Bakugo received 15 letters and felt smug until he saw Izuku's stacks. But as Bakugo looked through his letters only 2 stood out. Endeavor's agency and Best Jeanist. Todoroki looked through the letters until he found his father's letter. Then he tossed the rest of them without looking at them. 

When Izuku and the girls got to Izuku's house, Momo went into the kitchen and began cooking. Eri followed Momo into the kitchen to help. When All Might arrived he said, son your a lucky man. You have 3 women that can cook good food. Eri perked up and said I helped. All Might ruffled her hair and said, learn from them and when you're married your husband will be very happy. After dinner they went over the intern letters. Momo said, I've gotten some solid offers. I'm thinking about going with Uwabami. What do you think All Might she continued. All Might sighed, if you go with her she'll use you to sell her hair products. All Might looked over her letters and said, I'd go with Edgeshot if I were you. I've seen you use swords, staffs, and  tonfa's, he will help you hone those skills. He is also solid on rescue and reconnaissance missions he continued. Tsuyu said, I'm thinking about going with Selkie. All Might smiled and said, that would be a great fit for you. Ochaco looked at All Might and said, I think I'll go with you. All Might smiled and said I'm looking forward to it. 

Izuku looked at All Might and asked is there a reason why I didn't get a letter from you. All Might smiled and said yes. I've trained you for most of your life. I want you to learn from a different perspective. You're more versatile than I am, and if I trained you. you'll just become a brute like me. Izuku was caught off guard with that response. he was expecting to argue with him about favoritism. but what his father said made sense. All Might said, i would like for you to learn from my former sidekick. I'm going to be honest he's going to be very hard on you, but I can guarantee you will learn a lot from him. Izuku agreed to his father's suggestion and All Might made the phone call. 

Overhaul was walking in the abandoned warehouse, when he saw the strange man with hands all over his body. Shigaraki sat patiently waiting for the discussion to begin. Overhaul looked at Shigaraki and said, out of respect for your father I showed up. But I have a lot of business to attend to so let's make this quick he continued. Shigaraki said, I'll be quick then. Join us so we can pool our resources together and crush that thorn in your side he continued. Overhaul smiled and said, you also tried to take him down and failed miserably. Shigaraki said, your right I did fail to capture him. But at least he didn't take down over half of my organization he continued. Overhaul said, if you didn't have your father's resources you would have been captured a long time ago. Shigaraki was on his feet anger evident on his face. He hated being called out on his short comings. Shigaraki said, that bastard cheated and the next time I go after him I will crush him. Overhaul tossed out a business card and said, if you capture him call me and I will join you. Until then leave me alone he continued as he spun around and walked away. Shigaraki looked at his crew and said, remind me to kill him the next time I see him. 

After the girls left and Eri went to bed Izuku walked up to his father and asked, would you train me if I ask you to. All Might placed his hand on Izuku's shoulder and said yes. Izuku asked, why did you pick Ochaco and not me. All Might said, Ochaco has a great grasp of her quirk. She needs to improve on her hand to hand combat. Or she will get hurt or worse. Izuku asked, what about me. All Might said, I've trained you most of your life. Combat, tactics, strength and conditioning. I've sent you to the best martial arts instructors. I did this so that you can be better than me. Your quirk allows you to be able to do things that I can't. So my job as your father, is to make you a better than me. Even if it means that I have to send you to other people to train you he continued. Izuku hugged his father and said, thanks dad.
