Payal's POV:

" What was that? " Riya asked me angrily as I looked at her with raised brows.
" The thing between you and Jazz. That hug and getting lost in each other. " She asked while looking at me intently .
" Oh " I pause after a while
" It's actually none of your business. " I said as I decided to tease her.
" It is my damn business. You're my wife and that hug isn't normal one either. You can't fool me. " She said angrily as she started to pace around the room.
" So what ? Even if it means something, like I said earlier, it's none of your damn business anyway. " I spat back as memories of me and Jazz started playing in my mind. I need to get out of here.
I tried to walk away but Riya kept blocking me.
" Move out of my way! " I angrily said as I clenched my fists.
" Answer me first. " She came onto me. Our bodies colliding against each other as she grabbed my hands roughly. I have had it enough.
" You want to know the truth, right. Ok. I will tell you the damn truth. " With that being said, I pushed her with all my might. She balanced herself and didn't fall.
" I loved her. Ok. She was my first love. I am not straight as you think. I am into girls. Happy? Now shall I leave, your highness? " I asked as tears came rolling down my cheeks.
She looked at me as if she has seen a ghost. I walked past her and came to the living room.
Jazz looks apologetic and she tried to hug me. I stopped her.
" Don't. I am fine. You leave as you always do. " I said bitterly . I was about to head out when I saw the commotion at the entrance. The guards are running around and a suv rushed out soon.
" What happened? " I asked the head security guard.
" Anamika mam's car got surrounded by some goons and are under attack. She asked us to dispatch the security to her location. " He said with a worry as he too left.
Oh my god! Ishika is also with her. Anamika, please be fine. I inwardly prayed as I walked inside the house. Riya is nowhere to be seen. I tried calling Ishu but no response.
I waited anxiously for both of them to return safely. I heard that Anu and Ishu are fine. They went to office as Anu has some unavoidable meeting.

" Your Ishu had a knife slash in her right arm when she came in between Anu and a goon. Nothing to worry. Her right hand is wrapped with a bandage. " Riya said as she stood before me. I nod my head.
" We need to talk, Payal! " She said as I stood up to leave.
" There is nothing to talk about. " I said firmly.
" There is. In fact, everything. Maybe you forget. Let me remind you. My life got ruined because of you. You said that I hit on you and misbehaved with you. Why did you did that? I was a teenager who still haven't come out to her parents. Yes, I had crush on you. But why you crushed me? I want to know why you did that. " She shouted at me. I looked down.
Maids came over and look at us. " Riya, not now. They're watching us. " I pointed out the fact.
" Why are you looking at us? Haven't you seen a couple fighting before? Leave. " She barked the order and grabbed me to our room.
She locked the door and came to me. " Now, tell me. " She asked angrily as she started to pace around the room. Will she believe me if I tell her the truth? I was lost in my thoughts.
" Payal, answer me. You owe me an explanation for tarnishing me . " She shook me.
" An Ansh told me to do that. I don't know what happened between you two. He told me to do that Or else I have to face the consequences. " I stuttered with my lips tremble as I remember that day.
It was a family get together and I was there. Anu and Jazz are also there. Everything was going well when Ansh suddenly pulled me to his room.
It was the time he used to beat me and high on drugs.
" That scumbag. I should have known. What did he do? " Her voice immediately turned to concern.
I looked at her in shock. She believe me. How did she believe me so easily?
" I saw him being abusive to you. He burnt your hand with his cigarette and making you smile through it. So, why did you told everyone that I am gay and was touching you inappropriately when I came to tell you about his drug abuse. I even have video of him taking drugs. " She said as she sat next to me.
"
" I am sorry, Riya. I shouldn't have done it. But I was scared of him harming me and my " I stopped realising what I am about to say.
" Yours what? " She asked me. She looked at me intently. I need to tell her everything. She's my wife . She has the right to know.
" If you don't want to tell me, then I understand. " Riya stood up to leave.
" No, I want to tell you. I was pregnant and I did it to save my baby. I never loved him. But he loved me like a psycho. Anu asked me to date him as he loves me a lot. I was in love with Jazz then. I asked her for some time. Ansh tried to commit suicide when I rejected him. Anu saved him in time and begged me to accept him. What choice do I have? My parents forced me, fearing Chirag uncle's money power. Jazz was not ready to come out.
So, I gave him a chance. I really tried to love him.
Everything was going well until Anu left for US to complete her studies. He started taking drugs and begin to follow me around all the time. He never let me alone.
He did let me attend the award function and promotional events. He stopped me from signing new films. I feel suffocated. He started to abuse me verbally then it got physical. I never liked his touch. He forced himself on me once when got drunk. When I wanted to leave him, I got pregnant. I was 21 and I don't want you abort the baby. I didn't tell anyone as I was only two months at that time.
Anyhow it doesn't matter as my child was gone. I shouldn't have done it.
I am sorry. You did nothing wrong. If you want, I will let all of your family know. "
" That's fine. Do you know why he asked you to behave like that? " She asked me. I shook my head.
" He couldn't tolerate my success. He envied how I skipped classes and complete my MBA at the age of 19. He doesn't want me to become the CEO of Modi companies. Me and Anu are the two choices as Chirag papa doesn't like his tardy work. Anu didn't want to take up the job as her real passion is to become a military officer. Papa was going to announce me as the next successor. " She explained.
" After your stunt that day, everything is ruined as my own parents and family doesn't believe me. Even Anu. It was after Ansh's death, I all accepted me as everyone blamed you for his death. If you listened to me, then maybe you and I wouldn't have suffered. "
" I am sorry Riya. I am really sorry . " I sobbed as she let me cry. She hugged me and caressed my back gently. I don't know when I dozed off. I was awaken by the sound of car.
I looked around and realized that Riya might have carried me to bed. She's fast asleep as well. I silently came out.

" Ishu , what happened? Why do you go alone? Please don't do it again. I got scared. " I went towards ishu and Anu. I hugged Ishu.

" I am going to rest for a while, Anamika ji" Ishu backed off and went towards her room. Anu followed her as I came back feeling hurt. Ishu still angry with me .

Riya is still asleep as I sat next to her . It feels good to see her sleeping peacefully. She's kinda of cute like a baby with drool on her face.
